I would like to introduce myself to you. My name is Shari Anne Brill. I am a media industry analyst who previously headed up programming and strategic audience practices on the advertising agency side of the media business.

My intention is for The Brill Beat to be your "go-to" destination for observations and opinions regarding the media landscape. This blog will cover a broad range of topics including (but not limited to) video content, consumer technology, pop culture trends, audience insights and research issues.
