(CRF) - This Cause Related Fitness 5k walking event will take place before opening time at the NY Botanical Garden in the Bronx. I have wanted to do this walk for several years but it always conflicted with my schedule on the Hop on Hop off buses. Since this is no longer a problem I have signed up for the walk. Pat Gonzolez, one of my guide friends, takes incredible pictures at the Garden. You can view her pictures here.
I probably inherited my psoriasis (do you remember the commercials about "the heartbreak of psoriasis?") from my mother. It was also passed down to some of my nieces. It is not contagious but there is no known cure so....
I am walking in memory of my mother. I am walking to raise funds for psoriasis research. I am walking so I can explore the garden before opening time and continue my exploration after the garden opens.
If you wish to walk with me or volunteer, you will find all the information you need here. If you wish to make a donation to the National Psoriasis Foundation (and help me raise enough money to get a T shirt), here is the link to my walk page with all of the information about how to donate.
If you decide to visit the gardens at opening time, send me an email and we will make a plan to meet.
Good afternoon, many thanks for an unusually enjoyable piece,
I don't on the whole add remarks but enjoyed your post and as a result thought I would personally say thanks for your insight ~ Jasmine

Jasmine, Thank YOU very much for your kind words. I know from stats that people are spending the time reading blog posts and visiting links but I rarely hear from anyone.
My writing style isn't the most brilliant but my mission is to give links to relevant information that is already hiding in plain sight on the Internet.
I hope you get a chance to visit the garden when you visit NYC. = Sue
