I remember this being a fad when I was in about grade 6. It was on at some incredibly early hour in the morning, like 5:30am, best as I recall it now, and there was only a test pattern on prior to this program. I would get myself up and watch in the dark. Hard to imagine in this age of Tivo. But it was very important to be able to discuss the show during recess. I can imagine what those conversations might have been like, little kids, not enough sleep. "Hey, you see Clutch Cargo?" "Yeah." "Pretty good huh?" "I guess." "You didn't see it did you?" "Did too." "Bet you didn't." "Did" "Didn't" "You calling me a liar?" "So then what happened?" Pow. And from this humble beginning is born a critical eye for nuances of story and characterization.
