For those of you who are Kukla, Fran, and Ollie fans, as I am, there is good news. Some of the earliest KFO kinescopes have been lovingly restored and are now available in a 2-DVD set, Kukla, Fran, and Ollie, the First Episodes: 1949-54. The first run of these new DVD's sold out quickly, so if you'd like to get this set, I suggest you buy it soon.
Did you purchase it? is it in good quality? because a few months ago I got some other movies that were converted into DVD and it was in really poor quality...

As someone who picked up volume 1 a few months ago, they're good kinescope quality (an important qualifier), and the shows themselves are marvelous. Since the First Episodes DVDs are officially sanctioned by the Burr Tillstrom Copyright Trust, they had access to good source materials. If you're not sure, check out their Youtube channel (http://www.youtube.com/kfodvd ).
Oh, Volume 2 just came out at the end of last week. I'm waiting for Christmas to settle down right now, but once it does I'm on it.
