There are so many great apps for the iphone. One in particular is very valuable for the astrologer or astronomer - and it is free. This iphone app gives you all the planetary positions for any location. It is called "Planets".
Since planets cannot be seen with the unaided eye during the daylight hours, you can select a "visibility" tab for times when planets may be visible from your location. While the app does not offer the constellation that the planet is transiting, it does off information on the planets orbit, how it is classified, atmosphere, radius and mass, number of moons.
Ah, but while this app includes the "lights" - Sun and Moon - it does not include Pluto! What gives?
There is a great book on the subject of Pluto the planet... or not. It is called When is a Planet Not a Planet?: The Story of Pluto .
