On Weds July 18th The Big Quiet is partnering with the American Museum of Natural History for a mass meditation and sound experience under the Blue Whale in the Milstein Hall of Ocean Life.
Live practitioners will collaborate alongside museum scientists to bring the sounds of the deep sea into the meditation, followed by a series of performances featuring special guest musicians, a baby grand piano, acoustic violins, a gospel choir and more. Preceding the meditation, attendees will experience after-hours access to the Unseen Oceans exhibit and share Summer bites from Inday, drinks from Kombrewcha and offerings from our partners at The Assemblage.
This first collaboration between The Big Quiet and the Museum will feature a 700-person, arena-style seating arrangement, a surround-sound audio system and underwater visual projections.
