I work for K-9 COP Magazine. I had seen the photo and read the myth you describe too. I did a little research and have since learned that is a Belgian Malinois, named Spike. He is a police K-9 dog, owned by retired officer, Scott DiIullo. He is a good-sized dog, but I hardly think he is 200lbs. We just published a training article in K-9 COP Magazine written by Mr. DiIullo and he gave us permission to use that photo in our publication.
