A moose giving birth at your front door is a rare event, even in the cold north country of Naubinway, MI (about 40 miles west of the Mackinaw bridge in the Upper Peninsula). I just received this news and the photos in an email. When I did some online searches I discovered this "news" dates from Aug or Sept 2007! Even though this is old news, it was new to me and I love these photos so I am sharing them here. The photos show the pair about 12 hours after the birth. It looks to me like they are both doing just fine.

Those are amazing photos!
