The "cooking with dog" caught my attention, and I admit that I feared the worse. But no, the dog is not an ingredient but rather the dog observes the process and provides the voice over for the video. This poodle is quite adorable and so well behaved, he seems to be content to sit on the counter next to the chef and just watch. Sometimes he is so still I wonder if they have substituted a stuffed dog there as a stand in -- but then I see him blink. I think this dog adds a lot of charm to the video and helps the producers distinguish their work from others.
You can subscribe to the Cooking With Dog YouTube Channel here. You can learn to make Hiyashi Chuka Noodles, a Bento (Japanese Boxed Lunch), Yaki Gyoza (Fried Dumplings) and much more. The dishes look delicious and if you want to learn Japanese cooking, I can't think of more enjoyable videos to watch.
