I love and appreciate urban painting and have just discovered Wayne Pearce and his New York City based artwork. He work lives and works in Montclair NJ and has a B.A. in Graphic Design from The School of Visual Arts in NYC. Pearce's focus is in oil and acrylic painting with a current focus on capturing the energy and diversity of the streets of New York City from the frenzy of Coney Island's Astroland to a comparatively serene look at a cab driving filling his taxi with gas. All are a slice of NYC in its various forms - from the festive to the mundane. Pearce says: "Life is beautiful Life is Ugly. God gave me the ability to capture a moment and share it."
