I Remember Mama - Gym at Judson - April 2014

IMG_0850The Gym at Judson is a special historical arts space in the middle of Greenwich Village. I Remember Mama is a memory play. I remember seeing it when our high school drama club did it a very long time ago. This production by the Transport Group takes place in a gymnasium. The cast consists of 10 powerhouse female actors in their late 60's to 80's playing all parts.

When I saw the first preview, Marni Nixon was supposedly in the show. Perhaps Marni Nixon is still associated with the show and they've hidden her the way she was hidden in films like West Side Story and My Fair Lady. I don't know. See the show and report back. It is a great New York City off Broadway experience.
