June 2015 highlights
June 13 - Discovering that my young great nephew learned about George Gershwin when his music teacher played him this Disney Cartoon currently on view at the Hirschfeld exhibit at the NY Historical Society. Giving an extended tour of Lower Central Park to the tour guide from my CAARI volunteers trip to Israel this winter.
June 14 - The Mt Morris Open House tour is still a Great Day in Harlem. Highlights for me were the renovation of a former synagogue back to its original mansion space and new soon to open restaurant and B&B Chai Wali. I also enjoyed watching the rehearsal for the opening Klezmer concert for Kulture Fest.
June 15 - Seeing Merman's Apprentice as part of the Broadway at Birdland Monday night series. The show needs a future life. Cast, plot, music, lyrics make an enjoyable evening for lover of Broadway musical. Food was good too if you are looking for theater/cabaret on a Monday evening I would check out Birdland.
