A Scary Show
If you are in New York some time between now and September 17, check out the Creative Time art gallery show called "Strange Powers" located at 64 East 4th Street in the East Village. This show contains the work of 20 artists who have produced occult art pieces.
The show was created to have a paranormal effect using spells, talismen and spirits. Some people believe the gallery building is haunted and several workers there have seen ghosts.
Among the works is a crystal ball by Eva Rothschild and a "spoon that has been bent by a poltergeist" (so I am told....) by Paul Pfeiffer. There is also a special room that houses mystic artist James Lee Byars' own ghost.
