Carl Jung - Astrologer?

Carl_jung Carl Jung was a famous psychoanalyst who studied with Freud but who eventually created an entirely new form of psychotherapy. The interesting thing about him (to me anyway) is that as he developed his theories of human behavior he became more and more involved in new age disciplines such as astrology. What he found was that one's astrological chart was rich in information that could help a psychoanalyst delve deep into ones psyche and find the deeply hidden issues and problems. Even today there are psychiatrists who quietly run and examine their patients' charts and use them as a guide in their therapy.

My Strange Dream

Last night I had the strangest dream - I was in a large old building, maybe a hotel, with a large group of people. We were threatened by vampires who would blend in with the group and pick us off one by one. It was very stressful because you didn't know if someone was a vampire or potential victim. Over the span of the dream (which lasted through the night and through two bouts of waking up) we developed a series of safety measures that protected us from the vampires including holding a toothpick (don't ask me why) and spraying gasoline all around the ground surrounding the building. Apparantly vampires couldn't cross over pools of gasoline and were warded off by toothpicks.

Once fully awake, I consulted several sites. I found this interesting site on dreams in general. They said having a nightmare is good because it is a release of anxieties. Well... okay....

Of course I really wanted to know what it all meant so I found this interpretation site- Dream Moods which told me that

Vampire
To see a vampire in your dream, symbolizes seduction and sensuality, as well as fear and death. The vampire represents contrasting images of civilized nobility and aggression/ferocity. It may depict someone in your waking life whose charm may ultimately prove harmful. Deep down inside you know that this person is bad for you, yet you are still drawn to it. Vampires also sometimes relate to decisions about sex and losing your virginity. Alternatively, to see a vampire suggests that you are feeling physically or emotionally drained. The vampire may also be symbolic for someone who is addicted to drugs or someone in an obsessive relationship.

How nice. But I do not recall actually seeing any vampires. Only that they were there, somewhere, and they represented a threat, hovering in the background, blending in with the crowd.

How about toothpicks:

Toothpicks
To see toothpicks in your dream, suggests that you are too picky. It also indicates that you needlessly dwell on minor flaws, faults, and other small issues.

Well, I leave it up to you to see if you can figure out what all this means. Any comments or insights?

Good Vibrations

Soloiflex Six weeks of eating and drinking with abandon have finally left their mark on me. Now that my party hearty hangover has faded and my vision has cleared I realize that the tingling in my legs is the result of my tight waistband cutting off circulation. It's time to take action.

There is some pecular little new years item on the market called the Soloflex Whole Body Vibration (WBV) Platform. Apparantly it sends mechanical g-loads (err ... "vibrations"...) through your whole body. All you have to do is stand on the platform and the pounds vanish.

I guess you can look as good as the model in the pink sweater in this post.
