Here is a great article from astrologer Felissa Rose on the Mars retrograde (with a little bit on the Mercury retrograde tossed in). Be sure to visit her great website for more information.
The planet Mars goes retrograde on November 15, 2007 at 3:26 AM EST at 12 degrees 27 minutes in the sign of Cancer. It will be going direct in motion on January 30, 2008 at 5:34 AM EST at 24 degrees 5 minutes in the sign of Gemini.
Mars rules construction, tools, physical energy and motion. Individuals are less likely to initiate action during a Mars retrograde period. Falling part of the period in the sign of Cancer, ruler of homes and real estate, this is an unpropitious time for any type of building or remodeling. Those projects continuing through this period will proceed more slowly and need additional work when Mars is no longer retrograde. Surgery and the instruments used for it are ruled by Mars. Elective surgery should be put off until the planet goes direct in motion.
