2008 Full Year Horoscope

Here is my holiday gift to you - The Starry Eye 2008 Full Year Horoscope

2008 is a year of expansion followed by contraction and consolidation. Use this ebb and flow to your advantage whether it results in new opportunities or new “life lessons.” Of course, we tend to prefer new opportunities… Get prepared by reading: The Astrology of Great Sex: What Your Lover Wants and also consider Cosmic Navigator: Design Your Destiny With Astrology and Kabbalah.

ARIES (MARCH 21 - APRIL 20)

Sex: You heat the water cooler up to a boil this winter as an office romance steams your better judgment. Will you risk it all? Regain your senses and plow into the spring with an eye towards keeping your private business out of the public eye. By the fall you turn a platonic relationship into a romantic one. Will it last?

Career: Expect a few ups and downs in your career throughout the year. Maybe it’s because the landscape continues to shift and you find yourself constantly reassessing and second guessing. Or maybe it’s because, deep down, you realize that this is the year to make some dramatic changes. Whatever it is will become apparent by the fall.

Taurus (April 21-May 21)

Sex: The winter brings you a choice of new friends and lovers from all over the world. Can you keep up with their comings and goings? Take a breath and try to play hard to get… at least until summer. Then, your personal charisma hits new heights. By the fall, you and a certain someone can build something meaningful together.

Career: Your mind is not on the job in early 2008 but wait until later in the year when you can effectively let senior staff know how great you are. Don't trip on your way up the corporate ladder in the spring when you are tempted to take risks that seem to bear no payoff. Try to plan for retirement in the fall or at least begin to save for it.

Gemini (May 22-June 21)

Sex: While relationships hold sway through winter, Twins can lose their heads and go overboard in the sex department by spring. Don’t risk your current, albeit boring situation on some lusty flight of fancy. It won’t last and by winter you will ache for a warm body to cuddle. Pacing (and patience) is everything. Still on the prowl? Look for substance over style.

Career: There will be times through the year when you feel an overwhelming need to make your corporate mark. Don’t start your engines until the spring. There are just too many surprises in store for you in that area. My advice? Plan some lovely vacations through the year and leave the empire building until sometime in 2009.

Cancer (June 22-July 23)

Sex: Crabs are in love with love. Savor every romantic moment through winter. While you two roast your chestnuts by the open fire, try to plan ahead for a glorious summer getaway. By the fall you know whether it was meaningful or meaningless. No matter which way the decision goes, it will be fun and memorable.

Career: If you can be thrifty through the winter, you could afford a splashy splurge in the summer. If not you may wash up on the beach with the shells. Recklessness gets you into trouble, especially if you don’t read the fine print in any legal document. Hire a lawyer or find a well heeled benefactor to step up to the plate for you.

Leo (July 24-August 23)

Sex: If you are not in a relationship, you might be tempted to search for love on the job this winter. While a short fling has its charms, you might be better off seeking your jollies off. Leos have a secret admirer this spring. But they needn’t be secret for long. Those in a relationship need to put a dollop of romance into every sundae.

Career: Job changes continue apace all through 2007 but don’t worry too much about the financial fall-out. Things have a way of working out even if you may not be … working. Learn to save and then live and laugh. By the fall, you find ways of maneuvering your professional dinghy around the shoals. Beware of the sharks.

Virgo (August 24-September 23)

Sex: Don’t let your lack of confidence get in the way of meeting and greeting. Virgos have opportunities this winter to rub shoulders with the elite. Will you rise to the top? Maybe you prefer being on the bottom. The summer sizzles, especially if you travel with good friends who can help you make the introductions. They leave you to your own devices by fall.

Career: Listen carefully to any work related instructions in the winter. You may not be listening and can wind up wasting your time based on wrong assumptions. By summer, enlist a mentor from the senior staff to guide you to the top of the heap. Err, which heap? Decide what you want to do and where you want to go.

Libra (September 24-October 23)

Sex: Everybody has an opinion about your sex life this winter. Are you being too obvious? Discretion is suggested, especially when there is absolutely nothing of real interest going on. (You don’t want to ruin your devilish reputation.) Summer travel has its romantic moments. By fall, you find yourself in a long distance relationship. Will it have legs or will you cut it short?

Career: Plan your best moves this winter and use them to build a corporate empire in the spring. But don’t expect to get away with any shortcuts; you work hard for what you get. By the time the fall rolls around, you look back at your accomplishments with great satisfaction. Now if only money would follow….

Scorpio (October 24-November 22)

Sex: Your best moves may not hit the mark this winter. Scorps may come on too strong. Perfect your technique by spring and go full force into the summer. By the fall you will either find a great and fulfilling relationship or savor memories of some hot times. Try to rein in your wandering eye and build a great partnership for future happiness.

Career: You shine at work this winter and make inroads with higher ups. Are you just another apple polisher or are you really putting in the effort? You are less interested in drearily pushing your pencil in your cubicle as the summer arrives. Take time off rather than lose the glow. By the fall you are ready for anything… and anyone.

Sagittarius (November 23-December 22)

Sex: You are a force with whom to be reckoned this winter and might upend the landscape to make it fit to your standards. By summer you tire of making people see things your way and embark on a lusty quest for the perfect lover. Don’t look too far afield. You may be surprised at who comes knocking.

Career: Your professional path has its potholes and falling rocks through 2008. But that shouldn’t mean that you slide back into a funk and let others have the playing field to themselves. The secret of your success is through hard work and a keen eye to opportunities. Avoid pitfalls by talking less and doing more. Goodie.

Capricorn (December 23-January 20)

Sex: If your sex life needs spicing up, start cooking in the winter. Stay close to home for your romps, especially in the spring. By the summer, Caps find that they can attract anyone they want. The real question is – do you know who you want?

Career: While you may get a false start on the job in the winter, you are revving on all cylinders by summer. Caps are hard workers and make great progress in their career by fall. But all work and no play can leave you listless and tired by the end of the year. Navigate your profession drive with well deserved rest stops.

Aquarius (January 21-February 19)

Sex: Are you not getting enough adoring attention in early 2008? Maybe it’s time to start fishing in a different social pool this winter. And try some new bait - you get more bites. By summer you are attracting a bevy of secret admirers. They make themselves known by the beginning of the fall. Are your eyes too big for your stomach? Good!

Career: Aquarians experience false starts at work this winter because they are too impatient for positive results. Thankfully you gain a good momentum in spring. If you can channel your energy effectively, the results become apparent in the fall. Next step: Plan on how you will spend your big bonus.

Pisces (February 20-March 20)

Sex: Enjoy your play time with friends this winter. Your love life blossoms with spring, if you have planted seeds. Reap your harvest by late summer and plan for a loving future in the fall. Fish are full of romantic surprises. Implement them. Your intuition is on the mark throughout the year. Who loves you, baby? You already know….

Career: Work may not be on the top of your mind this winter. Is it ever? By summer, you need to put in effort, at least to show bosses that you are engaged and somewhat motivated. Oh do you have fooled! Keep up appearances through the fall. You never know what great opportunities can fall into your lap that way.

Re-Gifting for a Cause

What Do You Do With Unwanted Gifts?

Sad

I'm a big believer in karma - what we do evenutally comes back to us in some form. So when I get a gift that I don't need or use, I am tempted to "give back to the cosmos" in the form of re-gifting. Ahem...

However there might be a better way: Join a Freecycle Group (TM) and re-gift all unwanted trashy treasures for a cause. Freecycle is the largest recycling and reuse website in the world with a network with over 4,000 groups and 4 million members. Membership is free, you sign up online and post what you want to give away (or something you are looking for). Freecycle is all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of the landfills. It helps reduce waste and conserve resources while enabling members to give (and get) stuff for free. And this way you'll never make the embarrassing mistake of re-gifting to the original giver.

Remember, your trash could be someone's treasure..... Ho ho ho.

Flashing UFO Light Up Coasters

Ufocoaster Just in time for Christmas and New Years - liven things up by using these Flashing UFO Light Up Coasters. The coaster has three different light settings including rotating blink, single blink, and steady light -- view an animated demonstration on their website. You'll see that the flashing LED lights enhance any drink with its array of refracted light and color. The coasters are easy to use, merely press the top of the flashing lighted UFO coaster to turn the coaster on and off and rotate through the different light settings. You can buy a set of six for $3.29 each.

These look like something you'd expect to see in the lounge of the starship USS Enterprise. Have fun and happy new year!

Magic Wand

Wandstar Can you ever have enough ways of increasing the good karma? Probably not. So in a spirit of holiday cheer, here is yet another way to make your wishes come true .. or not....

Kirks Folly is a family business founded in NYC in 1979. They design jewelry, home and fashion items. Their offerings cover a variety of themes like fantasy, medieval magic, fairies, and celestial moon & stars and their designs are both whimsical and enchanting.

We can all use a little magic, right? Here's an item that might make the fates happier: this looks like it could be a wand that delivers. It's 14 inches long and is encrusted with Aurora Borealis and pink crystals. Pour the included "Follydust" into the base of the wand and sprinkle it out through the filigree star at the top to either increase your room's dust content or possibly make wishes come true. Chains of wishing balls and golden stars dangle from the base to increase the charm power. And yet, at $278.00 a stick I'd say it is reserved for true believers only.

Just be careful where you wave it: Sometimes wishes do come true but not at the expense of an eye.
