Feng Shui Handbags by Helen Welsh

I am beginning to think about holiday shopping. Yes, I know, it is not even Thanksgiving yet but I think this year I want to give myself as much time as possible.

Here is an idea:  After being in the retail business for 30 years, Helen Welsh decided to launch her own line of beautiful leather handbags. Four years later her bags are carried at better department stores and over 500 specialty stores worldwide. She attributes the popularity of her line to buttery soft leather, fantastic colors and feather light weight along with her focus on "accessories with a distinctive point of view." Also her designs are both stylish and utilitarian.

Helen Welsh Feng Shui Of course what is most interesting to me is the metal nine-square embossed cube which hangs from many of her handbags. She says that this is a special gift. The design of this cube is based on feng shui, the guiding principles of her life and her business. The feng shui square consists of 9 small squares, each representing compartments in life; when these are all in balance you'll have a sense of well-being and harmony. Most of the hardware you see on the bags is made in Italy and has a square shape (even the feet on the bottom).

Okay, it is a tough economy but if you are in the market for a gift with a little extra karma, the bags carry a retail price of approx. $200 to $400. And you might even snag a lucky bargain by finding  Helen Welsh Handbags discounted online at Amazon's Endless Shoe and Handbag Shop.
