Solar Eclipse, Tuesday July 21, 10.35p E. 7.35p P
“Our life is the creation of our mind” The Buddha

While there are opportunities for change every day, there are certain times when the universe will powerfully support your intentions. This solar eclipse is a doorway to transformation – an opportunity to make changes and a portal to walk into new landscape. This is why you have been asked to make difficult choices in the last few weeks – these tests are helping you to understand what needs to be left behind and what needs to be carried through into the next cycle.

Four powerful reasons to notice this solar eclipse:
This is a "Super Moon", so called because the Moon is at its closest approach to earth - a time when the eclipse lasts longer and is astrologically more potent.
It is at the last degree (29) of the sign - a doorway that opens onto new territory and allows us to say "goodbye" to what is not working and enjoy what is new.
This is the second eclipse in the sign of Cancer - and for the past month we have been sifting through what is not working in our lives and are now ready to put energy into the next part of the journey - which the "Leo" part of ourselves and our natal chart.
Cancer rules the fourth house - which itself embodies beginnings and endings.
These are some of the areas ruled by the sign of Cancer: the parent/child relationship - how we nurture/how we are nurtured - drama/peace - home, the feminine part of ourselves, family and food.
If you have noticed your attitude changing in any of these areas, then you are likely to be powerfully influenced by this solar eclipse.

Married on a Solar Eclipse - Charles & Diana
The rules of astrology suggest that it is not wise to make life-transforming changes for four days before or after the Solar Eclipse as there is often some hidden information that will not be revealed until months (sometimes years) after the event.
Charles and Diana were married the day before a solar eclipse at 7 degrees Leo.
The fairy-tale wedding on July 29, 1981 was played out on a world stage and as their relationship unraveled, we all came to know that throughout their courtship and marriage, Charles was having an affair with Camilla.
According to sources close the Princess, for months before the wedding, she had bad feelings about the date, but the invitations had gone out across the world.
Would the outcome have been different if they had married a month later? We will never know, but going into a marriage with a troubled mindset is never a good idea.
Not only was the marriage on an eclipse, but also their first son, William, was born within hours of a solar eclipse at 29 degrees Gemini (June 21, 1982).
It is always noteworthy when a soul chooses to be born on the day of the Solar Eclipse, and to have a future king with this event is his natal chart, is especially significant.
When looking at Prince William and Prince Harry, we see in them the legacy of good looks and loving empathy of their Mother, but cannot help but wondering if they have ever been told about the betrayal and tragic events that led to their parent's divorce.
If they knew, would they have embraced Camilla as their stepmother and made friends with her children from her previous marriage?  Perhaps someday some of these questions will be answered.
Other people born on a solar eclipse
Karl Marx – Annie Lennox (photographer), and John Havlicek (basketball player).
Born on a lunar Eclipse (the full moon immediately before or after a solar eclipse:
Billy Ray Cyrus – Donald Trump

Predictions for July & August

Be open to your happiness and not so fixed that you hang on to the status quo – even when it is not good for you. The universe is moving to towards making you a star: Venus goes into your sign August 27, and Mars arrives in October for an extended stay. Mars going retrograde later this year (December) in your sign, will give you an opportunity to make good things even better. For the moment, enjoy Mercury in your sign (until August 2), and let the planet of communication help your voice to be heard.

Venus in your sixth house throughout August will give you the opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities and have fun, while still maintaining your everyday workload.
