Lucky Numbers for Week of March 26, 2010

Lottery ads tell us you only need a dollar and a dream. But I think it is also helpful to have a list of lucky numbers to help spur the good fortune ... or fortunes.

So with that in mind, I decided that we could use some lucky numbers that can be used in any helpful way. I gazed into a pool of water, Nostradamus-like, and contemplated the cosmos. Then I mixed the tarot cards and allowed the spirits to guide me to the cards that represent the lucky numbers for this week. Nothing is guaranteed but who knows ....?

I choose eight numbers because 8 is the number of wealth.

Here are the lucky numbers for the week of March 26-April 1, 2010:

12, 13, 22, 29, 37, 42, 48, 61

There are many ways to delve into your own consciousness to find luck and intuition. Try reading Dream Power/Improve Your Luck (Super Strength Series) and see if your dreams give you any clues and premonitions. Here's a guide to the best books available this month.

Astrology Lesson 1 - WHAT IS A CHART WHEEL?

Astrology is not a mystery - it can be learned. So every Thursday for the next eight Thursdays I will be posting the ABCs of Astrology. Starting today with the first astrology lesson on THE CHART WHEEL.

THE CHART WHEEL

Chartwheel The Chart Wheel is a diagram of how the planets were situated at the exact time of your birth. It is a prototype of the heavens from the earth's point of view.  The horizon runs across the center, dividing the wheel into an upper and a lower half. The sun rises on the left and sets on the right. Noon (the midheaven) is at the top.

Philosophically, the wheel is the blueprint of your personality.  By examining your birth chart you can ascertain your strengths, weaknesses and the crux of your character.

The Wheel consists of several elements including Houses, Planets, and Signs which all relate through Aspects (angles) to each other. At first glance, the wheel looks like a pizza divided into twelve slices. Each slice, called a House, represents a different part of your life experience, whether it is childhood, family, money, education, friends, religion, sex, etc. Some houses are more important to an individual than others. Some houses represent areas of challenge, others are areas of less concern.

You are probably most familiar with the Astrological Signs and know your "sun sign" (the sign that your sun was in when you were born). There are twelve signs -- Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. But astrological interpretation goes beyond the "sun sign" and examines other planet placements as well as where the sign "resides" (the house) in the chart.

Planets are "sprinkled" around your  wheel, according to when and where you were born. We all have the eight planets (excluding earth) and the two lights (sun and moon) in our charts.  Each planet has it's place by house and by astrological sign. The planets have their own personalitites, as do the Astrological Signs.

Simply -- Planets show what is happening, the Signs show how it's happening and the Houses show where it's happening.

Aspects are the angles that different planets in their signs make to each other.  Aspects describe the energy, whether easy or difficullt, that transpires within the chart.

The beauty of astrological interpretation is that each chart is unique to the individual because no one is born at the exact same time in the exact same place.  We are all different with special needs, aspirations and joys. Astrology, in tandem with environment and genetics, help us form our personalities.  What we do with all the information is up to us.

Astrology does not predict the future. It is not fate.  Just as astrologer Bob Marks says, "Astrology is like turning on the lights on your car when you drive at night. It helps you to more clearly see the road ahead of you so you can drive more effectively. Driving at night with the lights out? Now THAT'S fate!"

  Healthcare Fast Facts

Healthcare bill Bearing in mind, that more often than not, a person’s major numbers pop up in nearly all important events during her/his lifetime.

The Presidents major numbers are his Life Number 11 (1 + 1 = 2) which reduces to 2 so the Number 2 is also one of his major numbers. The President’s Day of Birth is 4, Destiny Number 54 (5 + 4 = 9), and the President has many known names, two of which resonate to the Chaldean 52 (5 + 2 = 7) and 26 (2 + 6 = 8).

The Healthcare Bill was signed into law on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, a Universal Day 29 (2 + 9 = 11) which draws a direct parallel to the Presidents Life Number. The 23rd is President Obama’s Personal Day 32 (3 + 2 = 5), the Number 5 symbolizes change, Tuesday was a day when difficulties are overcome and with the help of loyal partners the President finally succeeded giving rise to change, change that attracted mass media.

Also note the calendar day 23 (2 + 3 = 5), in Chaldean Numerology the Number 23 is known as the Royal Star of the Lion, one of the most powerful numbers in numerology, which suggests plans are successful because of the assistance of people in high positions.

Purportedly President Obama used 20 (2 + 0 = 2) pens to sign the bill into law, a symbolic and customary gesture which permits him to give away the pens as an honorary piece of history.

The Numbers Certainly Paint A Historic Day Of “Change.”

The Number 29, a master number provided the President all the tools necessary to sign the Healthcare Reform Bill into law on March 23, 2010. Seeing that 29 is also the Presidents Life Number, he is equipped with vision and foresight to look beyond present circumstances and beliefs and get the job done.

Senator Ted Kennedy gave his all for 46 years (4 + 6 = 10), since 1962 he tried his best to obtain quality and affordable medical care for all Americans. He unexpectedly passed in 2009 (2 + 0 = 0 + 9 = 11) after nearly serving 47 (4 + 7 = 11) years of his life in the Senate. He departed this life on August 25, 2009, his Personal Day 32 which links to March 23, 2010, the Presidents Personal Day 32.

In 2009 Senator Kennedy witnessed the swearing in of Barack Obama, a Life Number 11, the 44th President of the United States, and on March 23, 2010, a Universal Day 29 (2 + 9 = 11), President Obama signed the Healthcare Reform Bill into law. March 23 would have been Senator Kennedy’s Personal Day 26 which links to the Chaldean known name Barack Obama and the 44th President of the United States.

The signing of Healthcare Reform makes 2010, a fresh beginning in Presidential history and healthcare! The Number 10 is considered a conversion point; America is headed in a new direction, beginning a new cycle in our evolution. In due time, mankind will learn to see the world in a different way and accept the fact that life as we once knew it, is changing!

Astrology By the Glass - Aries

Aries There are twelve of these "Astrology By the Glass" posts coming up over the next few months which describes each astrology sign's drinking habits and preferences. I found this in my file of favorite columns from various authors and sources. Unfortunately there is no byline and I have no idea who wrote this. So if you know who, please let me know and I will give full credit and a link. After reading this, check out The Intoxicated Zodiac for recipes by sign. Cheers!

ARIES (March 21 - April 20)

Drinking style: Impulsive Aries people like to party and sometimes don't know when to call it a night. Their competitive streak makes them prone to closing-time shot contests. They're sloppy, fun drunks, and they get mighty flirty after a couple tipples. Getting Aries people drunk is a good way to get what you want out of them, should other methods fail. Aries can become bellicose when blotto, but they will assume that whatever happened should be forgiven (if not forgotten) by sunrise. They can be counted on to do the same for you -- so long as you haven't gone and done anything really horrible to them last night, you sneaky Gemini.

Trademark cocktails: Aries, born under the hot-stuff planet Mars, is the ruler of spicy food and red things -- and for balance, astrologers recommend they eat tomatoes, onions, olives and greens. That's right, Aries, you were born under the sign of the bloody Mary. Aries also rules grapefruit, and they've been known to kick back a salty dog and a sea Breeze or two. For extreme hotcha, try a concoction with cinnamon liqueur in it.

Drinking buddies: Marlon Brando, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Al Gore, Thomas Jefferson, Elton John, Eric McCormack, Rosie O'Donnell, Sarah Jessica Parker, Reese Witherspoon

New Green Candy Wrappers Encourage Littering

Just as there is ecological wrapping paper that contains seeds so when you toss it away it decomposes, plants the seeds and roots into beautiful flowers so why not that same with candy wrappers?

Two new candies are now packaged in materials that are not just bio-degradable, they also grow into (what else) Candytuft plants. So now you can happily toss your used candy wrappers in your home garden or compost pile. The two new candies are -

Ananda dark chocolate bars from Amigos International replaces the foil wrappers that typically cover chocolate with compostable NatureFlex NK material. The NK material is a clear film that keeps out moisture and is made from wood pulp cellulose. It meets European and American standards for composting in home and industrial settings. Also - The boxes for the chocolate bars are printed with vegetable-based inks and are made with fiber. And the bars themselves are organic.

Candytuft U.K. chain Marks & Spencer is using packaging infused with seeds for Candytuft plants which attract butterflies and will grow within a few weeks of putting the wrapping in the soil. The retailer will start selling the candies this month for Mother's Day and include instructions on the best way to plant the packaging.
