Horoscope for Month of November 2010 and Week of November 1, 2010

Woody allen Are we ready for a vote of change or are we content with the status quo? Anything is possible this partisan November when almost all planets swirl closely within half the sky in a bowl shaped chart. Remember it is better to be recumbent rather than incumbent. Chill out.

(Woody Allen has Mercury in Sagittarius)

ARIES   (MARCH 21 - APRIL 20)
Aries have that get up and go go go which can lead them into all types of mischief. Good. Find your special voice and take it to the international streets. Think big, bold and brash. There is nothing to stop you and no one to dissuade you. Soon you could be luxuriating in giblet gravy. But hopefully that will not make you the turkey, just the big bird.

TAURUS   (APRIL 21 - MAY 21)
Are you just another side of beef or are you a slice of prime tenderloin? Zesty Bulls sizzle and smoke and can show others how it is done... with flair. Ramp up your animal magnetism. You can attract anyone you desire including a few undesirables. You can be forgiven of your eyes are too big for your stomach. That is what November is all about anyway.

GEMINI   (MAY 22 - JUNE 21)
It’s all about connection this week. Twins are focused on having the perfect relationship. Whether you are in one or not, use this time to see what you really want out of life and with whom you want to share it all with. Then reassess. As the year winds down, there is something comforting about knowing that your direction is clear. Just don’t lose the map!

CANCER   (JUNE 22 - JULY 23)
Is your job taking up more and more of your time? Don’t despair, Crab. Even a truckload of nit picky tasks can be dispatched easily now. Pour on the energy and see how much you can accomplish before the holiday season starts. By the end of the month you will not have the same oomph for work, which is understandable. Your timing will be perfect.

LEO   (JULY 24 - AUGUST 23)
You have popularity plus that can be multiplied. Proud Lions become the ultimate party animals. Go out and have a roaring good time at every event you can but don’t waste all that charisma on wasteful (but fun) dalliances. Put some of that artistic impulse to good use in some creatively profitable projects. Holiday shopping season has just begun.

VIRGO   (AUGUST 24 - SEPTEMBER 23)
Plan more home based activities and find ways to make your surroundings more comfortable and fun. One way to “find the calm” is to reach out to certain family members. Virgins may feel that rifts cannot be bridged but that is not correct. In fact there may be windows of opportunity to not only repair frayed relationships but make them strong. I said may be.

LIBRA   (SEPTEMBER 24 - OCTOBER 23)
Libras seem to know just what to say and when to say it now. So why not open your mind to some new experiences and see what great thoughts pop out of your head. Expand your knowledge base, reach out to interesting folks and charm your way to the top of the social chain. Before you know it, you find yourself among the elite. So what else is new?

SCORPIO   (OCTOBER 24 - NOVEMBER 22)
There is money to be made and Scorps are just the ones to make it. Focus on the bottom line and massage your assets until they expand. Do careful research, find your fiscal niche and take calculated risks as you build your empire. But remember - bears and bulls make money while pigs lose their shirts. Don’t swing for the fences. Be content with singles - many of them.

SAGITTARIUS   (NOVEMBER 23 - DECEMBER 22)
This is one of the most fertile times of year for you, Archer. So do not be lazy and do not procrastinate. Launch new projects, get your name on the marquee and market your brand in the right circles. The challenge will be how to concentrate on just one thing because you have some many projects running at once. How to choose? I don’t know.

CAPRICORN   (DECEMBER 23 - JANUARY 20)
Look behind the scenes. Caps are often content to let things take their own pace, even when there are hidden barriers and golden opportunities lurking in the shadows. No more. Use the month to uncover the golden nuggets and exploit them for your own personal benefit. There is plenty of time to be charitable - especially when you amass enough to donate.

AQUARIUS   (JANUARY 21 - FEBRUARY 19)
Get with the program Aquarius and stop playing hard to get. Friends worm their way into your heart and you can’t help but feel friendly and part of the crowd. Join new organizations and expand your social set. You are usually the outsider and rabble rouser but the upcoming holiday season can be warm, inclusive and even fun, if you allow it to be. Allow it to be.

PISCES   (FEBRUARY 20 - MARCH 20)
Make your best corporate move now and get to where you want to be professionally. Pisces are easy going and don’t always feel comfortable rocking the boat for personal gain. But now you are the commander of your ship and can steer it to any port of call you want. Will you eventually wash up on some distant shore? You can only hope!

Lucky Numbers for the Week of October 29, 2010

Lottery ads tell us you only need a dollar and a dream. But I think it is also helpful to have a list of lucky numbers to help spur the good fortune ... or fortunes.

So with that in mind, here are some lucky numbers that can be used in any helpful way. I gazed into a pool of water, Nostradamus-like, and contemplated the cosmos. Then I mixed the tarot cards and allowed the spirits to guide me to the cards that represent the lucky numbers for this week. Nothing is guaranteed but who knows ....?

I choose eight numbers because 8 is the number of wealth.

Here are the lucky numbers for the week of October 29-November 4, 2010:

11, 15, 26, 28, 30, 31, 49, 52

There are many ways to delve into your own consciousness to find luck and intuition. Try reading Dream Power/Improve Your Luck (Super Strength Series) and see if your dreams give you any clues and premonitions. Here's a guide to the best books available this month.

What Will Happen in the 2010 Midterm Elections?

Many have asked me to analyze the midterm elections using astrology. It was difficult to find the exact birth time for the Democratic and Republican parties (does anyone out there have that information?) so I decided to examine the election day chart - November 2, 2010 for Washington DC for 9pm (because that is when the polls close) and use that chart to see what might be going on that day.

What I have found is a highly dynamic chart that has elements in it that make it very difficult to predict. But I will take a stab at it anyway....

The basics - the chart has Cancer on the ascendant with the Sun in Scorpio - this is as we would expect for a Washington DC chart for 9pm in early November. So no news there.

The surprises - The first thing I noticed about the midterm election day chart is that it has a packed 5th house - Venus, Sun, and Mercury in Scorpio, the Vertex (a powerpoint in the chart) just in Sagittarius and Mars in Sagittarius are all there. I see this to mean that the day might be fun for Washington - filled with intense (Scorpio) and honest (Sagittarius) activities. The Vertex is making an excellent aspect to the top of the chart which to me means that those who have been focused and creative will be victorious. And since this chart is for the current Washington environment, I see some unexpected victories that are not anticipated by the pundits.

Uranus (shocks and surprises) and Jupiter (luck and expansion) are both the top planets in the chart - Uranus in the 10th house of career and public face and Jupiter in international outreach and higher learning. Both are therefore strong in the chart. This is a very interesting placement - transformations in the public sector that will result in luck and expansion internationally. Intuitive Pisces is on the cusp of the tenth house with robust and pushy Aries is intercepted in that house. Pisces is intuitive and appears to be weak and indecisive but intercepted Aries is the iron fist in the Piscean velvet glove. It will be a surprise in this highly charged political environment. If some candidates think that their incumbent opponents are pushovers they will get a nasty surprise on election day.

The Moon in Virgo is opposing the MidHeaven. Emotions will run very high and people may feel sad, emotional, insecure and unsafe (4th house). Saturn, the planet of problems is also in the 4th house but in milder Libra so these people will worry but they may not have great reason to worry.

Pluto the planet of transformation is in the 6th house of day to day work, health issues and detailed tasks. Victory will come via attention to the details. The party that hunkers down and gets their fingernails dirty will be the ones to beat.

All in all the chart looks to me like there will be some surprises - which can bode well for either party. But I will go out on a limb and also say that I think that the party in power could very well stay in power (because of the stellium in the 5th house and the strong angles the stellium planets make to the top of the chart) but it will be a pyrric victory as dramatic change and transformation will push out the old way of doing business.
