Fred Schaaf - Star Watch
Fred Schaaf is an astronomer and Star Watch columnist for The Press of Atlantic City. What I really like about his columns is he discusses astronomical placements as they fit into astrological signs and constellations which I can then use for my own astrological purposes.
His writing gives clues to aspects, placements and positions and he does so in an entertaining and easy to understand manner. Here is an example from one of his columns - "Giants at dawn: If you are an experienced amateur astronomer with a telescope, do not forget that today and all this week, the dawn sky will be blessed with a very close meeting of bright Jupiter and its fellow giant planet Uranus." Okay, so that means that Jupiter conjuncts Uranus. Good to know.
Schaaf is an author of many astronomy books as well as a great columnist. Another thing that is good to know.
