Claire danes aries Four planets - Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus - as well as the Sun, swirl in Aries this week. You are a bubbling cauldron of boundless oomph and uncontrollable pep. When is too much too too much? You may not know your limits ... and maybe that is a good thing...?

ARIES   (MARCH 21 - APRIL 20)
Nothing is quite like a Ram when they are fired up and raring to go, go, go. You have so much energy that you might as well package it and sell it to needy nations. Start new projects immediately and extend your outreach further than you have ever tried before. You are cooking on all four burners. Do I smell something burning? Is it rubber...?

TAURUS   (APRIL 21 - MAY 21)
Your intuition runs wild! And it also seems to run in overdrive. What crazy ideas are swirling in your head this week? Maybe, just maybe, you are getting a little paranoid. Let things play out as they will and you may find that there is nothing to worry about. In fact, things might be almost peachy. Take a bite out of the competition this summer..

GEMINI   (MAY 22 - JUNE 21)
How many friends can you amass? Maybe mass is not the point. Try to catch quality and not mere quantity in your social net, Twin. There are some folks out there who can provide you with glitter, glamour and extra cache. And there are some bad seeds who will tempt you with ill-fated activities and lead you astray. Ah, how to choose? How to choose?

CANCER   (JUNE 22 - JULY 23)
It’s time to focus squarely on the job to see how far you can get on your abilities, efforts and political acumen. Crabs often toil in the background without cashing in on their talents and accomplishments. That day is past, pardner! It is time to show the big bosses who you are. Who knows? This could be the big pay off time. How much will it take?

LEO   (JULY 24 - AUGUST 23)
This is the perfect time to spread your wings and take off for parts unknown. Spend some time planning your big vacation and see how far you can go and how much you can experience in a short time. Lions with empty wallets can still expand their horizons by doing things that are out of the ordinary but closer to home. How about inviting some exotic friends over?

VIRGO   (AUGUST 24 - SEPTEMBER 23)
Use what you’ve got this to meet, greet and sweep a few lovers off their feet. Virgos have ample charisma, lots of pep and a little more oomph in their step. Don’t waste this sexy opportunity to spread it around. Before you know it you will rule the roost and hatch a few boiled eggs. When in doubt, scramble them up into an omelette. The more the merrier!

LIBRA   (SEPTEMBER 24 - OCTOBER 23)
Continue to concentrate on relationships. They need your attention before the summer gets fully underway. Seek your perfect partner or make your current partnership more perfect. Libras can be very creative so put your best brain cells to work in your relationships. Are you giving all that you can give? Do you need to try a little harder? You know that will usually work!

SCORPIO   (OCTOBER 24 - NOVEMBER 22)
Forget about trying to take some time off. This is the time to put your nose to the grindstone. Clean off your desk by tackling all long standing projects. This will give you breathing space to fully enjoy the summer months. It is also advisable to revamp your health regime with an eye towards toning and buffing. Swimsuit season is here Scorp, ready or not.

SAGITTARIUS   (NOVEMBER 23 - DECEMBER 22)
Throw off your shackles and enjoy yourself. Archers are footloose and fancy free so make it a priority to find the most creative and fun-filled activities in town and take advantage of them. You might also want to try your luck at some games of chance. The odds are in your favor as long as your risk is not too big. Uh how big is big?

CAPRICORN   (DECEMBER 23 - JANUARY 20)
If relatives beat a path to your door, blame it on the cosmos and decide if you will answer the doorbell. Some of them might be worth letting in. Caps will find that they spend more time at home now but life does not have to be dull. Plan some randy get togethers and become the go-to spot for a good time. Or maybe that is already your reputation...?

AQUARIUS   (JANUARY 21 - FEBRUARY 19)
Aquarians have a lot to say and this is the time to say it loud, and clear. Get your word out and about. Start a blog, write a column, stand on a street corner with a microphone. At some point someone will hear you and help you get to the next level. Is running for elected public office in your future? I don’t know. How much of a masochist are you?

PISCES   (FEBRUARY 20 - MARCH 20)
Money may be the root of all evil but it can also be a heavenly gift. Pisces now know how to earn it and burn it. Let yourself go and enjoy life a little more than usual. The challenge will be to find ways of spending and saving at the same time. Yes there is enough to do both. But if not, lean towards more saving so you have an umbrella for those expected rainy days.

Lucky Numbers for the Week of April 29, 2011

Lottery ads tell us you only need a dollar and a dream. But I think it is also helpful to have a list of lucky numbers to help spur the good fortune ... or fortunes.

So with that in mind, here are some lucky numbers that can be used in any helpful way. I gazed into a pool of water, Nostradamus-like, and contemplated the cosmos. Then I mixed the tarot cards and allowed the spirits to guide me to the cards that represent the lucky numbers for this week. Nothing is guaranteed but who knows ....?

I choose eight numbers because 8 is the number of wealth.

Here are the lucky numbers for the week of April 29-May 5, 2011:

2, 26, 29, 41, 47, 49, 57, 73

There are many ways to delve into your own consciousness to find luck and intuition. Try reading Dream Power/Improve Your Luck (Super Strength Series) and see if your dreams give you any clues and premonitions. Here's a guide to the best books available this month

Omega 3 Fatty Acids Slow Eye Aging?

Rembrandts-eyes-1 They say that Omega 3 is a very healthy component of a diet. But how healthy and what ailments it helps still seems to be undergoing revision. The latest in the research has to do with eye health.

According to Future Pundit, people with diets high in fish get less age-related macular degeneration (AMD) of the eye.

For those of us with deteriorating vision (possibly because of all that work at the computer and tiny tiny smartphone screens) this is heartening news.

Researchers at Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, wanted to know how the risk of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) would be affected in a population of older people who regularly ate fish and seafood, since some varieties are good sources of omega-3 fatty acids. A diet rich in omega-3s probably protects against advanced AMD, the leading cause of blindness in whites in the United States, according to the Age-Related Eye Disease Study (AREDS) and other recent studies. High concentrations of omega-3s have been found in the eye's retina, and evidence is mounting that the nutrient may be essential to eye health. The new research, led by Sheila K. West, PhD, was part of the Salisbury Eye Evaluation (SEE) study. Food intake information with details on fish and shellfish consumed was collected over one year using a validated questionnaire for 2,391 participants aged 65 to 84 years who lived along Maryland's Eastern Shore. After dietary assessment was complete, participants were evaluated for AMD. Those with no AMD were classified as controls (1,942 persons), 227 had early AMD, 153 had intermediate-stage disease, and 68 had advanced AMD. In the advanced AMD group, the macular area of the retina exhibited either neovascularization (abnormal blood vessel growth and bleeding) or a condition called geographic atrophy. Both conditions can result in blindness or severe vision loss.

Consciousness, not matter, is the ground of all existence. The universe is self-aware and self-realizing, and this then creates the physical world. This is the basis of all religions worldwide, and is completely reconcilable with science.

Horoscope for the Week of April 25, 2011

Phyllis_diller mercury in aries Are you being heard? If not it is now time to try, try again. Retrograde Mercury re-directs in brash Aries. The clouds clear, the static eases and things can be said and clearly understood. Hey you don’t have to yell! Or do you...?

ARIES   (MARCH 21 - APRIL 20)
If your best ideas have been going over like a lead balloon, use the week to pump some helium in them. Not only can they effortlessly float into the zeitgeist’s top of mind, they may even become lofty and go sky high. People of some influence are listening and are ready to make a move on your behalf. So make a spectacle of yourself, Ram. Oops - too late.

TAURUS   (APRIL 21 - MAY 21)
Your intuition is at an all time high this week. Bulls are in their prime psychically and can divine the most divine things. But don’t just rest on your crystal ball. Now is the time to explore any and all community outreach and make a difference for one of your chosen charitable efforts.  It’s never to early (or too late) to pile on the good karma.

GEMINI   (MAY 22 - JUNE 21)
Twins dive excitedly into the social swim and get in over their heads. Surround yourself with convivial pals and make up for lost time. But choose your social connections carefully. Be sure that you are truly in sync with the group dynamic and not straining to conform. It would be a shame to be a square peg forced into a round hole. Hey, who are you calling a square??

CANCER   (JUNE 22 - JULY 23)
Corporate stratagems seem to fall perfectly into place. Clever and patient Crabs now have the opportunity to put any dormant corporate plan into action with some excellent and self-serving results. Revenge, if you decide to seek it, is yours. Enjoy and savor it with your loyal following as the world beats a path to your door. Some so-and-sos have all the luck.

LEO   (JULY 24 - AUGUST 23)
Lions have the world on a string now. Think of your next move in the grand scheme and allow your best ideas take flight. Pursue a new course of study or travel to some exotic and ... ahem... stimulating locales. Do anything that gets you to explore the world and get ready to pour your charisma into every cup. Swirl it around and don’t spill it.

VIRGO   (AUGUST 24 - SEPTEMBER 23)
Virgos won’t know what hit ‘em this week when they are thrust into the center of the sexy action. Anything you say or do seems to be right on the money. What can I say except hang on and enjoy the ride. These opportunities don’t come around often enough. Before you know it, life moves on and you’ll be just another face in the crowd. Now you are The Face.

LIBRA   (SEPTEMBER 24 - OCTOBER 23)
One to one relationships finally begin to show signs of life this week. Put in the effort to repair the frays and strengthen the bonds between the two of you. It is an opportunity to understand your partner’s viewpoint. For those Libras who are in the market for a hot tomato, it is a very fruitful time to search. Just don’t squeeze too hard. Ouch!

SCORPIO   (OCTOBER 24 - NOVEMBER 22)
Scorpios can tackle just about any onerous or boring job and conquer all of it easily. You regain your great powers of concentration so put it to good use before it wanders off again. While you are focused, consider revamping your diet and exercise regime. You want to procrastinate but don’t be tempted to put off to tomorrow what you can take off today. Whoo hoo.

SAGITTARIUS   (NOVEMBER 23 - DECEMBER 22)
Archers have been pulled up by the short hairs recently. Fun or creative pastimes just didn’t have any joi de vivre. Now the flow of the cosmos changes course and so do you. No longer will you feel like a old bag at a tea dance. You drip with charm and can party hearty.  Make up for lost time while you still have your good looks and before life moves on.

CAPRICORN   (DECEMBER 23 - JANUARY 20)
At-home projects may have become more burdensome. Now as the week progresses, you manage to find more satisfaction in your surroundings. It’s amazing how much you can accomplish when the fates pull your tide. Redecorate or renovate if the mood strikes you. Of course, you can also just plotz in front of the tube and delegate the messiest stuff to hired hands.

AQUARIUS   (JANUARY 21 - FEBRUARY 19)
Aquarians are all sugar and spice in their communication now. Ask and you shall receive. But what is the ask? Use this magnificent energy for public projects rather than for purely selfish pursuits. When words fail you, which is rather unlikely right now, you can always communicate telepathically. So what am I thinking? (Clean the house...)

PISCES   (FEBRUARY 20 - MARCH 20)
As careful as you might have been with your money recently,  this week you are encouraged to open up your wallet and enjoy some of the finer things in life. Pisces are sometimes overly concerned about imminent poverty, but now it may be possible to successfully invest your nest egg. Be sure that you either consult an expert or do your own homework to hatch a winner.
