ARIES   (MARCH 21 - APRIL 20)
Rams blow their wad on a dream that soon dissipates. Oh boo hoo. Get a grip; This week provides you with a fresh perspective and a stronger belief in your own worth.  There are a few well earned lessons in the making here. One comes to mind: It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. Oh forget that! Next time make them pay for you instead.

TAURUS   (APRIL 21 - MAY 21)
Your financial prospects brighten. Is there something that you have your heart set on acquiring, Bull? You find that extra bit of pocket change in the couch to make it yours. It is your reward for years of careful planning. (You have been carefully planning, haven’t you??) Ah but will money buy love? Perhaps not but it can wrap it in ermine and dip it in champagne.

GEMINI   (MAY 22 - JUNE 21)
As the week progresses, Twins can’t help but feel special and glowing. Maybe it is the over-exposed heat of center stage that eventually has you sweating. But no matter, comrade; you now have that certain grace and aplomb to become a megastar. Brush off any negativism and view the world with your sunnyside up. Pack the suntan oil while you are at it.

CANCER   (JUNE 22 - JULY 23)
There is nothing that you cannot do or accomplish this week. At least that is what you think. You are brimming with good vibes and feel especially mellow. Spread the good cheer with charity work or some other good deed, Crab. But frankly eating the last piece of cake so no one else has to worry about the extra sugar really does not qualify as a good deed.

LEO   (JULY 24 - AUGUST 23)
There is something quite wonderful and charismatic about  Lions this week. Go and start new projects. You suddenly become  the center of the social universe as everyone gravitates to your orbit. Will they crash and burn when they get into your atmosphere? Better cut down on the garlic and anchovy pizzas to avoid all crashes and burnings.

VIRGO   (AUGUST 24 - SEPTEMBER 23)
Virgos become career supernovas. Set your sights on the gold ring and the corner office and go for it while the energy is hot and ambitious. Get ready to jump into the tank and play the political game. You are a corporate shark slayer, at least for the next  week. But do your deep sea fishing quickly and quietly. After that you may become shark bait.

LIBRA   (SEPTEMBER 24 - OCTOBER 23)
The world is your oyster and this is the time to search for the pearl. This week provides you with vision, verve and great curiosity so set out and see the world. You find excitement and fun almost anywhere you choose but I personally suggest that you find it in a gorgeous resort rather than in a trash dump. Unless of course you are into trash, Libra.....?

SCORPIO   (OCTOBER 24 - NOVEMBER 22)
Scorps are especially sexy and alluring now. What a nice change of pace! Cruise the scene and see who creates one just for you. Be discerning - you will find that you have a wide range of choice of potential lovers. But don’t waste too much time window shopping. Cash in on your fragrant scent before you  revert back to your primordial ooze.

SAGITTARIUS   (NOVEMBER 23 - DECEMBER 22)
If partnerships were beginning to chaff, this week will provide a welcomed balm. Archers should use the time to strengthen and perhaps modify relationships to make them more secure and happier. For those of you still on the hoof, you will attract all sorts of potential mates. Will they be a Billy Goat Gruff or a Little Lamb? Pack the mint sauce.

CAPRICORN   (DECEMBER 23 - JANUARY 20)
Capricorns feel energized and have more oompf than usual. Will you spend your time working for others on your job or working on perfecting yourself? Either choice will bring with it its rewards and accomplishments. Exercise and the right diet will have a very good impact on your overall well being now. But I am personally on the “see” food diet.

AQUARIUS   (JANUARY 21 - FEBRUARY 19)
Who are those wildly creative souls painting themselves lavender and dancing naked? Must be a crowd of Aquarians under the influence. Your are quite the artist and full of energetic fun. It is a heady and exciting time. Chugalug around town and ride on the party train. But don’t go overboard with the intoxicants and wind up tripping up at the curb.

PISCES   (FEBRUARY 20 - MARCH 20)
There is a time to spread your personality all over town and a time to consolidate and enrich your personal space. Concentrate on the latter this week. Pisces are happily home-centered and yearn to cocoon while the cocooning is good. Single? Make some discreet inquiries. You wear your heart on your sleeve. Yuk. Be sure to do the laundry.

Lucky Numbers for the Week of May 20, 2011

Lottery ads tell us you only need a dollar and a dream. But I think it is also helpful to have a list of lucky numbers to help spur the good fortune ... or fortunes.

So with that in mind, here are some lucky numbers that can be used in any helpful way. I gazed into a pool of water, Nostradamus-like, and contemplated the cosmos. Then I mixed the tarot cards and allowed the spirits to guide me to the cards that represent the lucky numbers for this week. Nothing is guaranteed but who knows ....?

I choose eight numbers because 8 is the number of wealth.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn Horoscope

What can one say about the lastest appalling sex scandal by a VIP and politican? No I am not talking about Arnold Schwarzenegger. I am talking about French "Caviar Socialist" and IMF Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn. DSK as he is called, is accused of a litany of sexual offenses against women.

While it is hard to locate his exact time of birth, I have researched his birthday as April 25, 1949 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. In further research I have decided to use the horoscope cast by Dark Star Astrology which has his birth time as 11:10am CET. What do we see?

Chart Shape - Splash

I always like to start with the chart shape - how all the planets are posited and how the overall the energy is manifested. In this case, DSK has a Splash shape chart where the planets are scattered randomly around the chart wheel with no large gaps between planets.

People with splash-shaped charts are challenged to create boundaries and a sense of self-identity in relationships. Splash types are complex and independent people yet greatly need to connect to others in a meaningful, cosmic ways. Splash shaped charts often have dramatic aspects that make for a very complex personality. This means that they can express many different dimensions of themselves.

Planetary Placements

Looking at the individual planet placements, DSK has Sun in Taurus - love of luxury, good food, wine, sex and other earthy habits. When afflicted, Sun in Taurus can be slothful behavior but when it is exaulted, Taureans have fine taste, strong and bold constitutions and perseverance through all obstacles. They keep going and going and going until they reach success.

He also has Venus (how he loves) in Taurus and Mercury (how he communicates) in Taurus and they are all in close degrees to each other which helps to reinforce and strengthen their energies. If the birth time is correct, they are also all in his 10th house of career... but we will get to that later.

His moon is in Aries which is a bold and brash emotional constitution.  His moon sextiles (a good aspect) lucky Jupiter in his chart which is located in his 7th house of marriage and relationships. Good strong international relationships that bring his expansion and luck. So far so good for him.

Aspects

I couldn't help but notice all the excellent natal aspects contained in it. Here is a person with a stellium in his 10th house of career and ambition. All of his personal planets are there - Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars. Add to that his Northnode where good luck emanates and you have someone who has the world on a string. Prestige, power and an impressive career that has become his persona (personal planets).

Saturn the planet of problems and challenges makes an excellent aspect to his North Node and Mars which indicates to me that there is no problem that he can't solve by sheer energy and some good luck tossed in. Certainly that has been the way it is for him for years and years. Also Uranus the planet of shocks and surprises is in the 11th house of large groups and associations sextiles his natal Saturn and Mars. Shake ups in his life often based in social situations

Transits that set off this recent event?

So what astrological event just happened that upset his applecart of power, prestige and privilage? In fact I see some good transits to his chart now with transiting Pluto (volcanic change) trining his Sun (aspirations) and Venus (love). Pluto brings change where change is needed whether we want it or not. Maybe this is a necessary cleaning of his house? ANd transiting Pluto is squaring his Moon so whatever dramatic change that occurs, it will be very negatively emotional for him.

There are two strong hits from shocking and volcanic Uranus - a square (harsh) aspect to his natal Uranus in the 11th house. A powerful jolt (Uranus) among friends, acquaintances, large groups, long term goals (11th House). And a conjunction (a zap) to his Moon (emotions). Transiting Uranus is moving over his 10th house of public face, professional goals and status. A bolt out of the blue to that part of  his life. And it will set off that 4 planet stellium in that house so this will rock and roll though his life for a while.

That is a topline look at the astrological birthchart of Dominque Strauss-Kahn and we will follow him closely over the next few weeks to see how the planets impact his horoscope.

 

 

Money Bags

I admit that I hate chain letters. So you can ignore this one too. But unlike the other ones, this one has no real consequences for not forwarding. In fact, forwarding brings a possible monetary reward (which is always a motivator for me). That is ... if you believe.... And it has everything that I like - feng shui, Chinese prophesy belief, Numerology . I have forwarded it and will let you know if any monetary ka-ching comes into my life.

                                Make a date with loved one for next weekend

Thursday and Friday, make progress in areas of finance and business – fundamental changes and ambitious plans can be strategized. Energy is available to make changes in personal habits that lead to greater productivity and accomplishment.

Giving your power away is a difficult concept to grasp – but if you are in a relationship where you say…”My partner/friend/parent is good at making friends or taking care of financial issues….” Then you are giving away your power in that area of your life – and it may be difficult for you to recover.  Control is given away one slice at a time – and before you know it, the whole loaf is gone.

 

Of course, there are symbiotic relationships where power can be shared – just be aware and stay informed about the joint issues - even when the other person is making the majority of the decisions.
