Horoscope for the Week of July 1, 2012 and the Month of July 2012

Prepare for a hot sizzle this July, which begins this week and stokes our engines. Romantic Venus conjuncts lucky and expansive Jupiter. Love knows no bounds ... unless that is your “thing”. Go for the gusto. The time is ripe for all sorts of antics and we are certainly up to the task.

ARIES   (MARCH 21 - APRIL 20)
Once persistent Aries get something into their heads, they cannot be dissuaded. Say what you mean and mean what you say now. Opportunities abound in social situations so get yourself properly situated with the right crowd and wax poetic with your wry observations. There is no telling where it will lead. At least I will never tell.... Shhh.

TAURUS   (APRIL 21 - MAY 21)
Taureans learn to control their finances and make a green papery mountain out of a pile of moldy pennies. Hey Midas, let that golden touch increase the value of your portfolio and then go out and spend some of it. You have the wisdom and wherewithal to set some major personal changes into motion. So don’t sit back and wait for something to happen.

GEMINI   (MAY 22 - JUNE 21)
Your personal magnetism reaches a high luster level. Geminis have ample opportunity to show the immediate world  how beautiful they are and what they can do. People gravitate to you and introduce you into influential inner circles. So add a touch of flowery panache to every stray encounter to make your personal mark. All of July looks pretty rosy to me.

CANCER   (JUNE 22 - JULY 23)
Go and score karmic points by getting involved in a favorite community or charitable cause. The more you give, the more you get so be generous and magnanimous. While you are at it, clear out any psychological baggage that is holding you back. After that, the there will be some well deserved rewards waiting for you that you earn through your own efforts.

LEO   (JULY 24 - AUGUST 23)
Leos, like most folks, thrive on strong friendships. Now your social circle is so energized that it pulls you into its exciting  epicenter. Certain social swirls stir up the mix to a frothy lather. Who knows what can happen when you are so popular and become inspired? Take it to its logical conclusion and see how you can turn a friend into a fanatic.

VIRGO   (AUGUST 24 - SEPTEMBER 23)
Concentrate on any long term professional goals as all signs point to greater opportunity and success. Virgos attain palpable gains if they focus on the task and work at it. Why do I think that your goals are more gloss than grit? Maybe because even the most onerous tasks go smoothly. Grab it while you can. Too soon you could lose your ambition to summer sloth.

LIBRA   (SEPTEMBER 24 - OCTOBER 23)
Personal transformation begins to take shape. (Or maybe you’re just mellowing with age?) Travel to romantic places is likely. Buy a ticket and get going, Libra. It may be the perfect opportunity for you to find your inner peace of mind. And who knows who may be waiting for you at the end of the line? Let’s hope that transportation is not delayed. .

SCORPIO   (OCTOBER 24 - NOVEMBER 22)
Scorpios love sexual intrigue and conquest so it is nice that the week delivers you added sexual energy, enthusiasm and even a bit of luck. Use it or lose it. Sample the menu while you can lover; this planetary push won’t last forever and the wind can go out of your sail before you know it. Meantime, strive for a meaningful connection anyway you can get it.

SAGITTARIUS   (NOVEMBER 23 - DECEMBER 22)
Partnership issues heat up so expect to share your hopes and dreams with a significant other. If you are in the search mode, use the rush of lucky and romantic energy to set a course of action. Sagittarians sometimes need a friendly push because they tend to lack self confidence in this area. No problem now; you are flying high on cosmic fumes.

CAPRICORN   (DECEMBER 23 - JANUARY 20)
Capricorns will be amazed at how a little body work could have such dramatic impact. Get off your couch and exercise. Accentuate and define your best assets...ok your body too. That is, of course, that you do the proper exercise and diet regime to make the possible probable. Think nude beach season.... Sow and you shall reap you so and so..

How much fun can an Aquarius have? It depends upon how you manifest your creative destiny this month. Enjoy your free time while you can. Any project that you undertake now can become a personal masterpiece. The secret is to apply it to your day to day job or long term career. Grow an orchid in concrete, just to show ‘em how inventive you really are.

PISCES   (FEBRUARY 20 - MARCH 20)
Pisces are advised to center their activities close to home since their sense of well being centers there. Family issues and unresolved matters involving an important relative in your life may take a turn for the better. This is good as long as you don’t compromise to please others. Be who you are and stop schlepping all that cockamamie ancestral baggage around town.

Lottery ads tell us you only need a dollar and a dream. But it is also helpful to have a list of lucky numbers to help spur the good fortune ... or fortunes. So with that in mind, here are some lucky numbers that can be used in any helpful way. I gazed into a pool of water, Nostradamus-like, and contemplated the cosmos. Then I mixed the tarot cards and allowed the spirits to guide me to the cards that represent the lucky numbers for this week. Nothing is guaranteed but who knows ....?

I choose eight numbers because 8 is the number of wealth.

Astro Barry Writes About the Uranus Pluto Square

Pluto and Uranus have formed an almost exact square which is something that doesn't happen often. It is an intense and generational impact.

Whenever Uranus and Pluto come together in any hard aspect (i.e., conjunction, opposition or square), we witness a period of increased societal unrest and turbulence, during which issues of human rights and social welfare are more loudly addressed. Astrologer-academic Richard Tarnas does a great job of detailing the historical specifics of what he calls these 'epochs of revolution' associated with Uranus-Pluto contacts. The last two of these revolutionary Uranus-Pluto periods in our recent history were (1) the mid-1960s, a time so renowned for these qualities that 'The Sixties' has essentially become a brand-name for describing progressive social change, and (2) the Great Depression during the first half of the 1930s, which followed the massive financial crash of 1929 and led to debates about the consequences of free markets, government interventions, and unequal distributions of wealth which uncannily mirror the content of today's public discourse.

ARIES   (MARCH 21 - APRIL 20)
A new broom sweeps clean when fastidious Aries wield their mighty mean sticks. You’re finally ready to address much needed changes around the house. We carry around all sorts of negativity and can continue to beat ourselves silly under the yoke of hidden oppressions. Had enough? This is a cosmic “Stop” sign this week, Leo. Make a sharp turn and become “Slippery When Wet” rather than a “Big Dip”.

VIRGO   (AUGUST 24 - SEPTEMBER 23)
Don’t let friends take you to where you don’t want to go. Virgos are tempted to follow the “collective think” because they are so keen to make new powerful friendships. Why be molded by the group and pay for the privilege? Avoid the urge to buy acceptability. True friends, if they are worth their salt, will love you for who you are; warts, farts and all.

LIBRA   (SEPTEMBER 24 - OCTOBER 23)
Some Libras know exactly where they’re going in life, but  some (too many) can’t quite make up their minds. Events this week agitate your career. It can mean that professional success is at hand or it can mean a detour and a much needed change in direction. The important thing is to use your strengths to best advantage, devious though they may be....

SCORPIO   (OCTOBER 24 - NOVEMBER 22)
Lovers who are close at hand soon becomes underfoot and Scorpios may begin to yearn for more breathing space. Blame it on  unbridled passions when you get to thinking about all sorts of faraway adventures and international mischief. There are a few lessons to be learned on that long and winding road. Maybe it’s time to sneak off to a much needed recharging vacation alone.

How ready are you for prime time, Sagittarius? This week you are peeled like an onion; each hidden layer of your life, loves and dreams are exposed to all who grab a peek. It will be hard to choose from a delicious and diverse array of jollies. Be a little picky and choose only the best venues to display your considerable talents.
