Lucky Numbers for the Week of August 31, 2012

Lottery ads tell us you only need a dollar and a dream. But it is also helpful to have a list of lucky numbers to help spur the good fortune ... or fortunes. So with that in mind, here are some lucky numbers that can be used in any helpful way. I gazed into a pool of water, Nostradamus-like, and contemplated the cosmos. Then I mixed the tarot cards and allowed the spirits to guide me to the cards that represent the lucky numbers for this week. Nothing is guaranteed but who knows ....?

I choose eight numbers because 8 is the number of wealth.

Here are the lucky numbers for the week of August 31-Sep 6, 2012:

2, 4, 27, 35, 47, 49, 50, 66

Astrologer Felissa Rose on Presidental Nomination During VOC Moons

Democrat vs republicanJust got a comment from Felissa Rose on my warning post to Obama and Romney about being nominated during the void of course moons.

As it turns out so far - last night Romney was nominated and accepted the nomination and the moon was NOT void. Good for him. Now let's wait and see about Obama next week.

Felissa wrote: "Keeping watch on this as well. In 2008 Obama made his official announcement that he was running while the Moon was void of course As far as I was aware of, he was the only candidate who won the election and even the nomination who did this. During void of course periods there can be breakthroughs, and this certainly applied with Obama being elected the first African American president. When Hillary Clinton got on the floor on the convention 4 years ago and called for nominating Obama by acclimation, a few hours before the Moon went void of course, it was as if the universe stepped in and knew he would win."

My response is that Debbie Kempton-Smith reports that it is the Void Moon during the nomination that impacts the success of the campaign. But it is very interesting that Obama's announcement came during the void for his first run for President.

Felissa's response to that was: "I think there's two parts to it. One is when the candidate crossing the threshold and gets enough votes to be offically nominated. The second is the the candidate officialy accepts the nomination. In 1980 JImmy Carter got the nomination while the Moon was not void of course, but he made his acceptance speech duirng a void period. Looks as if President Obama will both get the nomination void of course and accept during the void as well."

She also said, "With that kind of timing I don't think there's any astrologers around. But going to keep an eye on it and hope for the best."

An Astrological Warning to Obama and Romney

Worried obama Worried obamaFor those of us who use the void of course moons in helping make timing decisions, we know that actions or decisions taken when the moon is void tend not to turn out the way we would like.

Eminent astrologer Debbie Kempton Smith (author of the great astrology book Secrets from a Stargazer's Notebook: Making Astrology Work for You ) says that candidiates for president who are nominated or accept their nominations during the void of course moon, lose the election. She writes -

"In every presidential election from 1900 through 1972 one of the two major party candidates was nominated with the Moon Void of Course. Every one of the candidates nominated with the Moon Void of Course lost. Jimmy Carter's 1980 nomination came in a Void of Course Moon. John Kerry's 2004 nomination and Al Gore's 2000 nomination came in a Void of Course Moon."

As for advice, I particularly like what astrologer Jo Starks wrote on the subject:

"The basic rule is:When you want something to happen, and you want to be successful, avoid the void of course moon periods like the plague!"

In 2008, I wrote a post about how Barack Obama successfully avoided the void of course moon in his nomination for president and won the election. But how will he fare in 2012? While we are not exactly sure when he will be receiving the nomination, the odds are that it will be during a void of course moon. According to the September 2012 Void of Course Moon charts, the moon will be void from Wednesday September 5th at around 3p until Friday September 7th right after midnight. If Obama receives the official nomination Wednesday or Thursday night it will be during the void. This could lose him the election.

Conversely, Romney seems likely to avoid being nominated during the VOC moon since the moon will only be void Tuesday August 28 from about 6:30am to 1:40pm and again on Thursday August 30 from 1:49pm to 6:32pm. His nomination would probably take place during primetime and would avoid the void.

However, let's not rush to judgement. Let's wait and see exactly when the nominations for both candidates take place and we can assess the void of course moon impact at that time.

Predicting the 2012 Presidential Election - Romney Ryan Composite Chart

Romney and ryan Romney and ryanComposite charts are great ways to ascertain the dynamics of a partnership whether it is a marriage or a business team such as the Republican or Democratic tickets running for the Presidency in 2012. It is possible to see if one of the team members helps or hurts the overall effort. I found this method to be very valuable in predicting the failure of the John McCain / Sarah Palin ticket in 2008. Palin's horoscope hurt McCain's astrology chart and so, as a team, the McCain / Palin ticket became weaker and ultimately lost the election for the Republicans that year.

I have an excellent track record on predicting the past three presidential elections, having analyzed the horoscope results of the 2000, 2004 and 2008 Presidential races correctly. For the last election in 2008, I wrote a series of posts examing all types of astrology charts on the subject from individual birth charts to composites to election day horoscopes and void of course moon analysis.

Now as I turn my attention to the 2012 race between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, I will base my prediction on the composite charts of each ticket - the strength of the team efforts of Obama / Biden (which was published a few days ago) versus Romney / Ryan.

Let's now look at the Romney / Ryan composite charts to see what the personality of the entire ticket is. A future post will compare the Republican and Democratic composite charts to predict the election winner.

Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan Composite Chart

Chart Shape, Planets and Energies

The Republican composite chart has a Splash shape to it - the planets are located all through out the chart wheel in no particular pattern. this suggests a personality that is process oriented, self sufficient (or advocates self-sufficiency) and independent. They don't go with the flow. They ARE the flow.

With the mutable sign of Pisces on the Ascendant, they are adaptable to change and can process change well. But there are no cardinal signs in the entire horoscope so while they can maneuver through change, they do not necessarily initiate change. They are therefore more reactive than pro-active, as a team personality.

Interestingly, as with the Democratic team of Obama and Biden in the composite chart, there is a stellium (cluster of of planets) in the 9th house which indicates an importance to the international stage, the law and justice. But the three planets in this chart are Jupiter (luck and expansion), the Moon (emotions) and Neptune (inspiration, deception and self-deception) all in passionate, intense, secretive and strategic Scorpio. Will their emotions or their focus on emotional issues such as abortion help them? Are they being honest, inspirational and connecting? Or is it a ploy to achieve their strategic goal of election? Keep reading.

Venus (charisma) and Mercury (communication and thought processes) are both in Aquarius and, along with the Sun (mission in life) all in the 12th house of hidden things - things that we hide from ourselves (self-deception) and things that others (hidden enemies) hide from us. It is also the house of spirituality, religion and intuition.

It should be noted that the Sun is virtually in the first house of new beginnings - conjunct the Ascendant and square the MidHeaven which places a great deal of pressure on the ultimate goals of this alliance. According to wizzards.net the Sun square the MidHeaven has a preoccupation with appearances, reputation, and social standing may interfere with both the realization of your goals and your family life. A tendency toward superficiality and concern for social status can cost you in career and family goals.

This Sun position is a warning for this partnership to keep it real and have your priorities in the right order.

Aquarius and Leo are intercepted in this chart meaning that they act as hidden agents - Capricorn on the cusp of the 12th makes it appear that the Republican team is practical, careful and professional. But Aquarius intercepted in the 12th house makes their spiritual aspirations potentially iconoclastic, self-rightous and fixed. Cancer on the cusp of the 6th house gives the appearance of a gentle, sensitive and motherly approach to the job but Leo intercepted in that house indicates that the intent of the job at hand is to showcase the team in a theatrical and expansive manner. I don't think Leo intercepted here is a negative - In fact, I think it is a powerful attribute of any successful partnership.

Saturn in Gemini is in the 4th house of security and family. Family and security issues (especially in old age and with ancestors) could be a problematic area or could present a challenge to this team. But they can present their arguement in a compelling manner (Saturn trine Mercury) so this can be overcome.

Aspects

It is in the aspects that this particular chart becomes very interesting and illuminating. The chart has many hard aspects and a few good ones. I think it is the hard aspects that really define a horoscope so will focus on those.

The chart has a T-Square -The Moon conjunct Jupiter and Neptune in the 9th square Venus and Mercury in the 12th and Uranus in Leo in the 6th all in fixed signs.T-Square show enormous energy and focus. They appear in charts of leaders and it gives them strength and wisdom. But with any T-square, it consists of hard aspects that can create challenges and problems. The problems may be unexpected and grandscale (Uranus in Leo in the 6th is part of the T-Square) and it may involved actions on new projects -like this election - (Aries on cusp of 3rd House opposite to top T-Square, ruled by Mars in the 1st house of new beginnings) because of unintended things said (Mercury in the 12th is part of the T-Square) that burst out in the global arena (Jupiter in the 9th is part of the T-Square).

Other aspects include - Pluto square MidHeaven (volcanic unexpected changes that impact their public face), Sun opposite Pluto (personal missions and life goals can be upended by powerful uncontrolable forces).

Next post - By examining the two composite charts - Obama and Biden versus Romney and Ryan, I will predict the winner of the 2012 Presidential election. In the meantime, read up on some of Mitt Romneys ideas and policies.

ARIES   (MARCH 21 - APRIL 20)
If you ever had an excuse to get down to work this is the time to do so. Aries are ambitious and can now clear off their desks and free themselves up for some real wheeling and dealing. A little effort has some considerable and dramatic payoff. Aim carefully lest you upset a careful balance. You are a shooting star but watch were you point that thing.

TAURUS   (APRIL 21 - MAY 21)
Put a bit of zip in your doodah. What is it about Taureans that makes them so full of fun and so giddy right now? You seem to be unable to concentrate on anything serious or on highly detailed work because your imagination and sense of adventure crowds the scene. Embrace the inevitable. Tap a few kegs along with a few pals and dance to a different drummer.

GEMINI   (MAY 22 - JUNE 21)
Make you home picture perfect - you will spend loads of time there this week. Geminis plan some wonderful get togethers and become a major presence in any beehive of activity. If you have a long domestic agenda, now is the time to get the necessary work done without a taxing effort. Good thing too - you don’t want to create an unmanageable deficit. Ahem!

CANCER   (JUNE 22 - JULY 23)
If you have something to say, say it this week. Cancers express themselves with style and panache and get what they want without being pushy and obnoxious. What a nice change of pace! Go for the gold standard and don’t settle for the silver. While you are at top form, do a bit of press for a good cause. That might mean press as much flesh as possible.

LEO   (JULY 24 - AUGUST 23)
Money is on the top of your list. This is the time to make as much of it as you can and enjoy it to the fullest. But what is it that you really want? Love? Contentment? Self actualization? Leos may just find that there is something that money simply can’t buy.... but thank goodness they get over it! Champagne, truffles and a pack of confetti anyone??

VIRGO   (AUGUST 24 - SEPTEMBER 23)
There is nothing quite so charming and engaging as a Virgo this week. You have ample opportunity to meet and greet. Plus, if you muster a bit of effort, you put new projects in place for guaranteed long term payoff. Life seems pretty darn good ... even excessively good. Will the glare of your pearlies entice, entertain or repel? Check for spinach to be sure.

LIBRA   (SEPTEMBER 24 - OCTOBER 23)
There are those who have taken great delight in stabbing you in the back whenever they darned pleased. Sometimes you didn’t realize it until the damage was done. Now a light goes on and you finally figure out who they are and what they are up to. Revenge is a dish best eaten cold, Libra. Enjoy your dinner and go for your just desserts.

SCORPIO   (OCTOBER 24 - NOVEMBER 22)
Surround yourself with pals and a few new acquaintances. You are especially sociable and seem to attract a delicious array of avid followers. Some of the folks you meet now are so impressed that they just can’t get enough of you and hang on your every word. Scorpios are in their element. Is that in deep water, down to earth, full of hot air or on fire?

SAGITTARIUS   (NOVEMBER 23 - DECEMBER 22)
If professional goals have seemed unattainable and difficult, thank your stars for the opportunities presented this week. Instead of struggling in the dark, suddenly it all becomes clear. Implement all strategies in the right priority. Sagittarians are finally able to set things in motions that have considerable payoff. Don’t spend it all in one place, tempting as it might be.

CAPRICORN   (DECEMBER 23 - JANUARY 20)
Capricorns find that this is a good time to take stock of where they are and where they are going. Are you where you want to be in this life? Are you itching for more? Scratch that itch with anything that helps expand your horizons. There is nothing like new stimuli to move some old stasis. Travel, study or mingle with some new interesting cohorts. See what you can concoct.

AQUARIUS   (JANUARY 21 - FEBRUARY 19)
Love is in the air. Okay maybe it really isn’t love but that doesn’t matter when the lights are low and so are you. Aquarians seem to ooze that certain special sauce - a mixture of piquant charm, spicy wit and juicy charisma. Hurry and make your best moves while you are so delicious. By tomorrow you may revert back to just another overcooked dish.

PISCES   (FEBRUARY 20 - MARCH 20)
This is no time to be alone and whether you decide to surround yourself with platonic or passionate company is entirely up to you. Whoever you choose will transform you in unimaginable ways and on very meaningful levels. Pisces are often considered to be incorrigible romantics and now the cosmos demands that you become a part of a pair. Hey nice pair.
