ARIES   (MARCH 21 - APRIL 20)
The temptation will be to try as many new people and experiences as possible. Your focus spans many interests from latent projects to love. But the universe has a way of letting you know that things can change quickly and today’s good idea is tomorrow’s second thought. Give things time to percolate, Aries...at least until the taste replicates the aroma. 

TAURUS   (APRIL 21 - MAY 21)
In this cosmic swirl of intuition and just pure fantasy, can you really tell fact from fiction? Not likely, Taurus. So if you find that your imagination is conjuring all sorts of crazy scenarios, take a step back and think about it for a second. There will be time to chase your dreams. This week however, dream boats can be scuttled on a sand bar. If so, turn it into happy hour.

GEMINI   (MAY 22 - JUNE 21)
Friends are sending you all sorts of sensual signals. The air is rife with sparky love. Will you bite or just be devoured? It is up to you, Gemini. The ball is in your court and you have to decide if you are ready to complicate your platonic life for one lusty moment. If the answer is yes, go into it with your eyes wide open.... among other things.

CANCER   (JUNE 22 - JULY 23)
The harder you work and try to get ahead in your career, the more you may upset certain close relationships. Maybe this is a good, refreshing change, Cancer. Or maybe it is just to be expected as you need to devote so much attention to the task at hand. Whatever your motivation, be sure that the ends justify the means when you finally get to the top of whatever heap.

LEO   (JULY 24 - AUGUST 23)
Life is one big adventure but as you begin your momentous journey, you may find yourself tied down by trivial tasks and time wasters. Freedom and adventure is right around the corner, Leo, but you will have to find a way to clear off your desk, finish up loose ends on the job and get your health in ship shape for cruise season. Then set sail.

VIRGO   (AUGUST 24 - SEPTEMBER 23)
Virgos certainly have “it” this week as their sexy animal magnetism is turned on full force. You not only attract anyone you set your sights on, you also have great fun doing it. Almost too much fun.... So be somewhat choosy, turn on your charisma and see who is lured to your bright light. Will it be like moths to a flame? I would not be surprised.

LIBRA   (SEPTEMBER 24 - OCTOBER 23)
Libras strive for harmony and balance in their lives. But certain situations may tip your scales. Love relationship can now impact long standing family issues. As much as you would like both sides to see eye to eye, they may be head to head. Hopefully, with some careful maneuvering, by the end of the week you will have them cheek to cheek.

SCORPIO   (OCTOBER 24 - NOVEMBER 22)
Don’t let the daily frustrations of life spill into your job. And don’t let any job frustrations cause you to complain. It won’t do any good and will make it harder to regain y our footing. Be the strong silent type now, Scorpio. Let the vagaries of life swirl around you while you meditate on happier times. Even better, escape and let the bureaucracy go on without you.

SAGITTARIUS   (NOVEMBER 23 - DECEMBER 22)
Fun is on your personal agenda, whatever”fun” means to you. So whatever you find enjoyable and fulfilling, do it all through the week. Just check on the costs involved to be sure that what you like to do is within your budget. Sagittarians can get carried away by an inspiration. You don’t want inspiration to cause much monetary perspiration.  

CAPRICORN   (DECEMBER 23 - JANUARY 20)
If you find that you are chaffing under restrictive family rules, break free now and give yourself a chance to re-invent yourself with your own rules. Some rules are naturally made to be broken. For those Capricorns who are planning a residential move, expect to be surprised by the choices out there. Will you go rural from urban? Let’s not bet the farm.

AQUARIUS   (JANUARY 21 - FEBRUARY 19)
What you think is quickly said and could upend careful behind-the-scenes negotiations. At least that is what Aquarians seem to want at this time. You are full of big ideas and are ready to share them without careful editing. My advice is to contemplate the impact of your ideas and carefully test the waters before you launch them. There is time to unleash your torrent next month.

PISCES   (FEBRUARY 20 - MARCH 20)
Good times with friends is on your agenda. But be sure that you have the money to party hearty and float your pals when their wallets are empty. Pisces can exceed their budgets because of a combination of too many needy friends and too many great things to do. Have fun but save a little for a rainy day too. Oh, do I feel a drop? Or is it just a bunch of drips?

So with that in mind, here are some lucky numbers that can be used in any helpful way. I gazed into a pool of water, Nostradamus-like, and contemplated the cosmos. Then I mixed the tarot cards and allowed the spirits to guide me to the cards that represent the lucky numbers for this week. Nothing is guaranteed but who knows ....?

I choose eight numbers because 8 is the number of wealth.

Smile to Reduce Stress

It is amazing what scientists are finding about the power of positive thinking... or at least a good smile.

According to Cool News, there are researchers who say that "wearing a smile" can slow down the heart and reduce stress. But to some, it has to be a full and genuine smile which can impact the body in positive ways. However other studies indicate that even a polite smile may be beneficial.

A study recently published in Psychological Science "involved 170 participants," and induced them to "smile unknowingly by making them hold a pair of chopsticks in three different ways in their mouth. One way forced people to maintain a neutral expression, another prompted a polite smile, and a third resulted in a full smile that uses the muscles around the mouth and the eyes." The smilers had slower heart rates and "faster physiological stress recovery," and the full smilers "performed better than the polite-smile group," although "the difference wasn't statistically significant."

Sarah Pressman, co-author of the study, explains: "We smile because we feel not threatened," and this signals safety to the brain. And research from UCLA's Brain Mapping Center find that simply seeing someone who is smiling triggers "mirror neurons" in the brain that "evoke a similar response as if they were smiling themselves."

Engage in some corporate imperialism this week. Cancers are ready to take advantage of the situation. Plot your professional ascent and be ready to grapple for control and power with worthy competitors. Be on your toes and keep a beady eye on hidden opportunities. Clever maneuvers can backfire though and you may be forced into positions that are not your style. Prone?

LEO   (JULY 24 - AUGUST 23)
Leos are anxious to expand their global reach. Maybe it’s time to launch a blog complete with assorted photos and interesting (to some) personal factoids. That may not be enough. For those who prefer open space rather than cyberspace, consider embarking on an excursion to some new and exciting vistas. That will do the trick ... and could be a real treat.

Getting hungry, Virgo? Temptations abound that increase your sexual appetite.
