  • Ask Madam Lichtenstein - Was I Right to Say No to This Aquarian?

Tarot reader 1Atlanta, Ga.: As a Virgo, was I right to finally say no to this Aquarian who had asked me to move out hoping it would improve our relationship -- or should I have said the separation would really help us get back together?

    Charlene Lichtenstein: Hmmmm.

I do not know where this Aquarian has his/her Venus which is how they react in love, but a sun sign Aquarian is a bit of a loner. Some say that a separation could help preserve the relationship, but oftentimes, Aquarians simply like being alone.

If you send me more birth information, I could have a closer look.

    ARIES   (MARCH 21 - APRIL 20)
Your professional ups and downs could turn into a roller coaster ride but don’t worry about fallout, Aries. It seems that you have done your homework and have greased the wheels of the corporate cogs. All can go smoothly as long as you don’t push to be the center of attention. Let the other turkeys trot and strut. You know what happens to them over this month...

    TAURUS   (APRIL 21 - MAY 21)
Expand your horizons. Even a small trip beyond your usual borders or a break from your usual routine will have a dramatic impact on your entire global outlook. So take a walk and graze in new pastures, Taurus. See what the world has to offer you. But be aware of hidden obstacles that can thwart your goals. Keep your eyes open and pack the cranberry sauce.

    GEMINI   (MAY 22 - JUNE 21)
Try not to confuse a platonic relationship with a passionate one now, Gemini. It could create an uncomfortable situation or change the dynamics of the friendship dramatically. Of course, you may want that to happen. If so, expect some unexpected repercussions and a transformative change in certain relationships. Change is good. Isn’t it?

    CANCER   (JUNE 22 - JULY 23)
The demands of your career could impact and stress a valued personal relationship. Cancers will have to decide if their ambitions are worth the risk of increased stress at home. If so, make your move and bear the consequences. If not, see what you can do to balance your life’s projects. When in doubt, see if you can get what you want by charm alone. Uh oh.

    LEO   (JULY 24 - AUGUST 23)
Don’t let day to day duties get you down Leo. It is easy for you to get caught up in details and spin your wheels but the  world is waiting for your next big move. So do not disappoint. Delegate and streamline your processes. Consider, too, some time for de-stressing. They say that it is more fun to exercise with a friend but it depends which exercise.

    VIRGO   (AUGUST 24 - SEPTEMBER 23)
The holiday season is just around the corner so prepare by pre-planning your social calendar. Fill it up with fun events and creative pastimes. And who knows? There may be more than just a turkey trotting into your sight line. You have never looked so delicious. Romance is in the air, Virgo. And it is not just the smell of freshly baked pies.

    LIBRA   (SEPTEMBER 24 - OCTOBER 23)
Your home will be a beehive of activity now. Libras can buzz through any detailed arrangements and plans with ease ... as long as they remain flexible and open to suggestion. This is important as relationships can hit a snag unexpectedly. Are partners getting the attention they deserve (or think they deserve)? Your charm wake them think so.

    SCORPIO   (OCTOBER 24 - NOVEMBER 22)
Scorpios are especially persuasive this November. So use your glib gift of gab to get some long stagnant projects off the ground and launched into the stratosphere. Some ideas may be ambitious but anything is possible now, especially if you can get partners to help. While this is a tall order, it is not impossible. Try asking nicely. When in doubt, try bribery.

    SAGITTARIUS   (NOVEMBER 23 - DECEMBER 22)
Fun may cost much more than you think this November. But that should not dissuade you from enjoying a well deserved respite and taking some calculated risks to feather your financial bed. But sit on your nest egg and don’t let a bunch of wild birds pull you off. Party hearty Sagittarius but don’t become the sole party payer. Spread the fun....

    CAPRICORN   (DECEMBER 23 - JANUARY 20)
Not only will you make a dramatic and distinctive first impression, this impression will have long term impact on your goals and plans. So take any meeting or interview this month very seriously, no matter how informal it is. Capricorn are usually buttoned up and presentable but now the stakes are high and the rewards are great. How high is up? You decide.

    AQUARIUS   (JANUARY 21 - FEBRUARY 19)
There is something going on behind the scenes that will surprise and transform you. Aquarians with a sense of adventure will find the next few weeks to be a fascinating journey of self discovery. Secret guardian angels help you along. But just how much of yourself do you really want to share with the world? Draw your boundaries and save a little zetz for later this year.

    PISCES   (FEBRUARY 20 - MARCH 20)
Explore new watering holes this November, Pisces. Friends and acquaintances will prove to be very important to you. Not only can they help you modify or totally change your fiscal strategy, they can be good advisors in your love life. The challenge is to know which friend is offering the best advice for which subject. No, money cannot buy love.

Lucky Numbers for the Week of October 25, 2013

Lottery ads tell us you only need a dollar and a dream. But it is also helpful to have a list of lucky numbers to help spur the good fortune ... or fortunes. So with that in mind, here are some lucky numbers that can be used in any helpful way. I gazed into a pool of water, Nostradamus-like, and contemplated the cosmos. Then I mixed the tarot cards and allowed the spirits to guide me to the cards that represent the lucky numbers for this week. Nothing is guaranteed but who knows ....?

I choose eight numbers because 8 is the number of wealth.

Here are the lucky numbers for the week of October 25-31, 2013:

    17, 24, 54, 59, 60, 72, 79, 80

There are many ways to delve into your own consciousness to find luck and intuition. Try reading Dream Power/Improve Your Luck (Super Strength Series) and see if your dreams give you any clues and premonitions. Here's a guide to the best books available this month

Jenni Stone Talks About Positive Ways to Use the Mercury Retrograde

PlanetsAs we navigate the retrograde Mercury transit that began on October 21, there is some sage advice from astrologer Jenni Stone as to how to best use this time of "miscommunication" and foggy thinking. Sometimes you can use it to your advantage!

Positive ways to use the Mercury Retrograde

    > Visit friends you haven’t seen in a while.
    > Go to an art event – or a museum – while you are there, find an image or an experience that you want to take away with you.
    > Attend a networking get-together – come away with the experience of having met one or two people that you made a connection with.
    > On a spiritual level:Re-envision a better ending
    > Re-write a bad script from the past
    > Forgive for good – practice by forgiving others – be prepared to forgive yourself.

Mercury is retrograde until Nov 10.

This acts as a loop in our subjective experience of time.

    What does that mean?

Mercury is the planet most associated with knowledge, memory and the events that make up our individual encounters with what is happening around us.

Through memory we are able to time-travel to the past – and through understanding we are able to change it – not the objective events, but our experience of them.

Say you had a difficult childhood – with a caregiver that others would say was domineering and controlling – and perhaps you are fearful of being in relationships where that is likely to happen again – so much that if something happens that remotely appears to be going down the same path, you react by being aggressive and difficult.

During the Mercury Retrograde it is possible to retrieve these memories and come to terms with how it has affected your present relationships.

This internal journey can help you to re-write history – this time with a better outcome.Throughout the Mercury Retrograde - a healing journey.

During this time impressions, people and information are fixed more deeply into the psyche.
