Ask Madam Lichtenstein - Do Certain Tarot Decks Work Better Than Others?

Columbia, MD : What do you think of the variety of tarot decks out there? Do you think the various "flavors" of decks impact their usage?

 

Charlene Lichtenstein: Choosing a tarot deck is a very personal experience. I was taught to mediate upon the deck to get the greatest forecasting capability so I tend to avoid the most popular deck (Ryder) because I find the pictures too "editorial". I love all the different varieties - especially the "post modern" ones with very mystical meanings.
