ARIES   (MARCH 21 - APRIL 20)
There is an extra kiss in store for those lucky Aries with a certain-special-someone to kiss. You are able to turn up your charm and sway those closest to you to your way of thinking. For those Rams roaming the plains with a hankering to connect, use the next few weeks to survey the field and stake your claim. Just be careful where you  stick that stake, bud!

TAURUS   (APRIL 21 - MAY 21)
Taureans are in their element this week. Much can be accomplished on the job as the tasks that you carefully planned last week can be tackled and completed successfully. And don’t be surprised if there is an extra reward to burning the midnight oil in your favorite cubicle. Hint, hint; pack extra oil so you can sharpen your pencil and push your paper clip.

GEMINI   (MAY 22 - JUNE 21)
Most of us have our noses pressed upon the glass windows of the finest parties but not so Geminis. They are the ones in the center of the action, sipping champagne out of various footwear and carousing with abandon. This is especially true this week. Party heartily you party animal. And don’t be surprised if one of the toadies you kiss turns out to be royalty.

CANCER   (JUNE 22 - JULY 23)
Manage your family affairs now. Cancers might have had a few passing thoughts about unresolved family issues last week. Now put your thoughts into action; Open up and clear the air. This is also a great time to entertain at home with a bunch of festive cohorts. It’s never too late to plan a party that will have them talking for weeks... if not months.

LEO   (JULY 24 - AUGUST 23)
Although you are not known for your subtle conversational style, Leos can become the glib master of ceremonies (well, at least for a short while). Say what you have to say sooner rather than later. This eloquent energy should turn even your biggest gaffs to bigger laughs. What a refreshing change of pace! Hurry before your light banter turns into a lead balloon.

Coffee Has Many Beneficial Uses

According to a new research study, coffee helps prostate cancer survivors exercise more efficiently. Joe Frost writes that coffee not only helps boost the benefits of exercise but also helps make you more creative. But it depends on WHEN you drink it.

 

“Cancer survivors face unique challenges relating to the risk of cancer recurrence and the development of other chronic diseases, as well as experiencing treatment and disease-related physical and psychological side-effects,” said Dr Tina Skinner from the Centre for Research on Exercise, Physical Activity and Health at UQ’s School of Human Movement Studies.

“Our study suggests that consuming caffeine one hour prior to exercise improves exercise capacity and muscular strength in prostate cancer survivors.”

The study saw 30 prostate cancer survivors given either anhydrous caffeine or a placebo. An hour later they were put through their paces, literally – doing a mix of exercises including a 400-metre walk, chair stands, and isometric grip strength tests.

While the caffeine had no discernible effect in some exercises, such as the chair stands and 6-metre fast walk, it produced noticeable results in the 400-metre walk and grip strength tests in both hands.

Perhaps most importantly, those whose performance was enhanced by the caffeine did not suffer from greater fatigue after exercising, with the study noting, “Caffeine appears to enhance exercise tolerance through improved performance with no subsequent increase in fatigue or perception of exertion”.

“This is good news for prostate cancer survivors as exercise can help counteract many of the side-effects of prostate cancer treatments such as decreased muscle mass, strength and bone density,” Dr Skinner said.

Each person who received the caffeine was given a dose of six milligrams per kilogram of their body weight. The UQ researchers will now conduct a dose-response study to work out the what amount of caffeine provides the best outcome.

Charlene Lichtenstein: You have Sun in Taurus, Mercury in Aries and Mars in Cancer. You are steady and loyal in general but you are also an aggressive communicator and make your point in no uncertain terms! You fight with your heart and not your head -- can be an emotional fighter.

Possibly Leo rising which places Taurus on the cusp of your 10th house of career. Taurus is a slow and steady energy. You get on a track and keep on going and going like that energizer bunny. And it it hard to change course.

But Taurus is also ruled by Venus. As practical and directioned as Taurus is, the sign also yearns for art and beauty. So that is where that creative tug is coming from. Taurus on the 10th means carefull and risk adverse Capricorn on the 6th house of work. So you really feel a sense of duty (Capricorn) and a sense of being on a course that cannot change (Taurus).
