Horoscope for the Week of July 2, 2018

ARIES (MARCH 21 - APRIL 20)
Party hearty, Aries, but be careful of going overboard in your assorted frenzied festivities. There is a lot of goings on going on for the next few weeks. You may triple book or brush off someone who could figure prominently in your future plans. Or you may become an unintended center of attention. Whoops! Or maybe that is your ultimate plan...?

TAURUS (APRIL 21 - MAY 21)
As much as you (finally!) want to get a few things done around the house, you may find that your efforts may not produce the desired results. Too bad, Taurus; You will have to put those dusty musty chores off for a little while longer. Or you can get creative and find a few able bodied helping hands to scrubadub for you. You never know where the dirt may hide...

GEMINI (MAY 22 - JUNE 21)
Chatty Geminis think that they have all of the answers but they may be surprised by some of the questions! Before you express an opinion, read the room to anticipate all possible reactions. You may have the right idea but the wrong audience. For those who just have to say what is their minds, spread a little sugar on your salty sentences. Okay, make it thick frosting.

CANCER (JUNE 22 - JULY 23)
A thrifty Cancer and their money will soon be parted as you are tempted over the next few weeks with too many expensive diversions. You can be swept off your feet for a promise and a song. If you have to part with a dollar, be sure that you get exactly what (and who) you pay for. Of course sometimes a splurge is a delight. Keep it small and seductive.

LEO (JULY 24 - AUGUST 23)
As much as you enjoy being the center of attention, you may find the glare of the center stage a bit too too now. Leos might consider being seated in the audience and watching all of the action for a change as every little gaff you make is magnified. Of course for those grandstanders who believe any attention is good attention, go for it. Ho ho ho.

VIRGO (AUGUST 24 - SEPTEMBER 23)
You are usually fairly clear headed but now your third eye may be a bit unfocused. Things that you conjure in your head are, as they say, all in your head. There is nothing going on here, Virgo, so move along. What you can do to reignite your intuition is to chill out and reduce any stress. Will you contemplate your navel or contemplate someone else’s navel?

LIBRA (SEPTEMBER 24 - OCTOBER 23)
What crazy antics will you get into with your friends now, Libra? Enjoy the camaraderie but know when too much is too much. You may be lured into reckless activities or into things that you are not really interested in. Decide what lifts your heart, set limits and do what you want to do when you want to do it. Maybe you don’t want to do anything at all? Then relax.

SCORPIO (OCTOBER 24 - NOVEMBER 22)
If you have been carefully crafting your eventual corporate takeover, this may be a good time to take a step back and carefully survey your progress. Things are shifting and have a way of surprising you if you are not totally focused on the game board. Don’t make any big moves until you check for professional pathway potholes, Scorpio. Oops!

SAGITTARIUS (NOVEMBER 23 - DECEMBER 22)
You feel the need to get out of your usual routine and try something or some place new. Anything to relieve you from boredom. But as you scratch your itchy traveling feet, Sagittarius, be sure that you carefully survey where you are headed and what you need to get there. Leaving a trail of breadcrumbs to find your way home may just attract hungry birds.

CAPRICORN (DECEMBER 23 - JANUARY 20)
Sexy Capricorns think they have all of the right moves to lure whoever they want into their lair. Better check yourself in the mirror before you go prowling however, lover. Your best moves could move in the wrong direction and your usual charm may chaff. Better to hang with friends and family who love you no matter what you say and do.

AQUARIUS (JANUARY 21 - FEBRUARY 19)
If the two of you are not seeing eye to eye, give any relationship discussions a rest for a few weeks. There at things going on the you may not see - both in business and romance - that are still in transition or otherwise changing. No sooner do you think you have a clear fix on it than it morphs. Why not just enjoy the simple things in life, Aquarius. Err chocolate?

PISCES (FEBRUARY 20 - MARCH 20)
Pisces may feel that they are working too hard right now without enough of a payoff. Don’t sweat it. This may be a good time to take a vacation or a short break. Take a mental health day and go to the beach. Or get out of the office with a longer than usual lunch. Soon you will be recharged and ready to take on the world. Or is it the boardroom?

Lottery ads tell us you only need a dollar and a dream. But it is also helpful to have a list of lucky numbers to help spur the good fortune ... or fortunes. So with that in mind, here are some lucky numbers that can be used in any helpful way. I gazed into a pool of water, Nostradamus-like, and contemplated the cosmos. Then I mixed the tarot cards and allowed the spirits to guide me to the cards that represent the lucky numbers for this week. Nothing is guaranteed but who knows ....?

I choose eight numbers because 8 is the number of wealth.

Felissa Rose Talks About the June 26 Mars Retrograde

Astrologer Felissa Rose offers a great overview of the upcoming Mars retrograde.

 

Approximately every 26 months the planet Mars goes retrograde for a period of a little over two months.   The last time this occurred was from April 17,2016 until June 29, 2016.  This year on June 26 at 5:06 pm EDT Mars will be going retrograde at 9 degrees 12 minutes in the sign of Aquarius.   It turns direct on August 27 at 28 degrees 36 minutes in the sign of Capricorn.

Mars has a strong influence on the way that we take action and move.  It rules the muscular system of our body and largely defines the exercise we participate in as well as the way we do most physical activities.  This includes anything from taking a walk to nailing a picture on the wall.  Retrograde energy is internalized which can manifest with Mars as going over what you intend to do before taking action as well as taking more time when actually doing it.

It’s not the best time for construction though in many parts of the country the weather is warm and most conducive for working on all kinds of building.  So, if you’re involved in this expect it to take more time as there’s likely to be delays and even revisions.  Even if things work out in the end the process might not go the way one expects.   If you’ve read my previous Mars retrograde reports have mentioned a neighbor whose hard work and construction didn’t work out the way he hoped.   My neighbor was remodeling a kitchen as his girlfriend was going to be moving in with him.  Since his loft was right above mine I was very aware of how long it took him.   Turned out that his girlfriend decided not to move in. At the time the lofts in the building were rentals but soon afterwards the building became a cooperative and he couldn’t afford to buy the space and had to leave his space and new kitchen without any financial gain for his work.   Hopefully, there will be less drama in your Mars retrograde experience.

As mentioned Mars rules the body’s muscles and has a strong influence on accidents and injuries.  Aquarius rules the lower legs below the knees as well as the ankles.   Capricorn the knee and the skeletal system of the body.  So be particularly careful during this transit and it would be a good idea to stick with the level of exercises you’ve begun before this planet went retrograde. For Mars transit through signs tends to vulnerability and inflammation in the parts of the body Mars is moving through in the zodiac.  Mars also rules surgery and if possible put it off until Mars is no longer in retrograde.  Be particularly careful when using equipment and tools as they are ruled by Mars.  While Mars is retrograde people are more prone to have accidents and injure themselves, so take care and make sure that whatever tools and equipment you are using aren’t damaged. 

Retrograde energy is internalized and Mars rules one’s drive, actions and also one’s anger.  Anger needs a release and is never good to keep it in for too long.   But before expressing it take some time to go over the reasons, situation and try to express it clearly and in the moment.   Avoid bringing things up  that happened in the past for the time to vent about that is over. 

When it comes down to it action always beats intention.   So, make sure what you want to do resonates with what you hope to achieve.   And always act with kindness and speak with truth.

Mars will next be retrograde from September 9 to November 3 in 2020.
