Transits: Finding the Story
Sunday 7th October 2018 - 15.30-18.00 BST

Forecasting is one of astrology’s most challenging dimensions: to articulate the symbolism, to convey this in ways which are supportive and empowering, and at the same time to set this within the context of the client’s unique experience and their way of seeing the world. In addition, the transit picture for a given year can be complex, with influences that seem to conflict and pull in different directions. The art of forecasting is to find our way through this and allow deeper meanings to emerge. In this seminar, we will work to find the stories and potentials hidden within transits.

Fathers and their Children
Sunday 14th October 2018 - 15.30-18.00 BST

This webinar will look at the archetype of the Father and how it is constellated in the birth chart. How does the father we had (or didn’t have) impact the structure of the psyche? Whether absent or present, biological or ‘adopted', the role of father influences our fundamental identity and relationships, as well as our ability to emerge into the larger world. While Saturn and the Sun are traditional signatures for the father, they rarely describe the rambler, the dreamer or the rolling stone. Fathers used to be the carriers of law and authority. As our cultures change, as marriage is redefined, the archetype of father changes with it.

Participants are welcome to volunteer their charts for possible inclusion in the webinar. (Please email chart data once you have booked and before 7th October. You will need a headset in order to talk to Lynn during the webinar.)

The Astrology of Personality Theory
Sunday 4th November 2018 - 15.30-18.00 GMT

In traditional and indigenous cultures, visions, dreams and other mysterious disturbances were understood mythically and imaginatively, as communications from the soul. In our culture they are more likely to be treated purely physiologically, as symptoms to be diagnosed and treated, an observation which caused Jung to comment that ‘the gods have become diseases’.

Astrologers have an important therapeutic function as the modern storytellers.  The language of astrology is symbolic and imaginative – it describes the human condition, just as it is.  In this webinar we will compare contemporary personality theories with the inherent conflicts built into every chart, paying particular attention to planetary and sign oppositions and develop astrological narratives which are imaginative rather than diagnostic, mythic rather than medical, archetypal rather than pathological.

Rulership
Sunday 11th November 2018 - 15.30-18.00 GMT

Early on in our astrological education we all learn about rulership and exaltation, detriment and fall.  We learn that having planets in the first two categories is really good, and having planets in the second two is not good.  And yet, how is it that some of the finest warriors in the world have a 'weak' Mars, such as Nelson Mandela and Winston Churchill each with their Mars in Libra?  There is a secret to rulership and exaltation, detriment and fall that we learn over a lifetime of doing charts.

The 3rd House - Impressions from the Starry Night
Sunday 18th November 2018 - 15.30-18.00 GMT

Hellenistic astrology named the 3rd House "Goddess," referring to that Great Goddess of the night sky, the Moon, whose Joy is in this house. Topics of the 3rd House include communication, early education, siblings, short journeys, and our immediate environment. This webinar explores the role of the Moon in helping us understand the 3rd House, its relationship to the mundane world, and the many and varied ways communication styles reveal themselves through planets placed in this house.

Jupiter: Never Enough
Sunday 9th December 2018 - 15.30-18.00 GMT

Jupiter is the greater benefic, or so we are told. Today’s webinar looks into the role of Jupiter in our lives, what does it mean and how do we feel it? Is Jupiter the great god Zeus bringing us bounty and sage philosophy or does it have a darker side of excess and promises of boundlessness where nothing is ever enough.  We will examine Jupiter in the natal chart and by transit to see what the supposed greater benefic really does in our charts.
