2020 Vibrational Astrology Conference: Early Bird Deadline

I just received the last reminder about the next upcoming early bird deadlines for the 2020 VA Astrology Conference:

·         February 25: Hotel rates go up. For the very low rates of $95+tax for a Double Room and $105+tax for a King Room please reserve your room by February 25! Information on room reservations is here: http://www.astrosoftware.com/conference/va2020/hotel.html

·         March 1: Conference fee goes up from $250 to $275. If you make a last-minute decision to attend, the price at the door is also $275. Some people have asked how we can offer such low prices. The answer is that we are making the prices as low as possible to make it possible for as many people as possible to participate in the conference.

Conference Events, Registrations, and Developments:

Attendance Numbers: At the first VA Conference in 2019 the attendance including speakers and staff was 100 people. Our goal for the 2020 Conference is 100 people or more. We are happy to report that we have just achieved the goal! There are now 101 people attending the conference! This is exciting because it means that we can keep offering the low fees for attendance and the networking, building of friendships, and excitement at the conference will be very high. There is going to be a great mix of attendees from beginning students of astrology to about a dozen internationally recognized astrologers. There are 45 people registered for the Friday pre-conference, and the Monday Fun Day is full.

Special Event: Poolside Gathering 4 PM – 7 PM on Friday. You can order a take-out dinner if you wish so that you can spend the entire time meeting other attendees. We will be announcing the names of you, the attendees, and what groups, organizations, and schools you are members of. For example, ISAR, NCGR, OPA, AFAN, Astrology Hub, Avalon School, Family groups, Foreign attendees, and others will gather in groups and you can also circulate around to the different groups to meet each other. If it rains, we will meet inside in the extended lobby area.

Friday Late Night Sky Viewing: If weather permits, on Friday evening after the opening Dr. Bob Lightner, astronomer and the VA Conference videographer, has very generously offered to set up his telescope, point it at whatever interesting celestial objects are of interest, and answer questions. This will be in the pool area.

Thursday Evening Dinner: Some people are arriving on Thursday, and some even earlier to visit the North Florida area. We will be emailing all attendees to see if you wish to attend a group Thursday evening dinner at a nearby restaurant. We need a head count so we can make the right number of reservations.

Sunday Evening Dinner: You may wish to go out in a small group or make other plans, but for those of you who are not leaving Sunday evening after the closing, we will also be making reservations at a nearby restaurant on Sunday evening. We will email all attendees to see if you would like us to make a reservation for you.

The First Mercury Retrograde for 2020 By Felissa Rose

Eminent astrology Felissa Rose shares her analysis of the first Mercury Retrograde for 2020. Set your clocks!

                     MERCURY RETROGRADE – FEBRUARY & MARCH 2020

It’s  both a new year and a new decade and no doubt there will be lots of changes, but Mercury will still go retrograde. The first time that Mercury goes retrograde this year/decade is February 16 at 7:55 pm EST with Mercury at 12 degrees and 53 minutes of Pisces.   On March 9 at 11:50 pm EDT  Mercury will go direct  in 28 degrees and 12 minutes of Aquarius.

Mercury rules information, communication and the way we pick up thoughts and ideas.  Both Pisces and Aquarius are idealistic with Aquarius able to quickly process information and both understand it and go further into connecting it to a more universal way of thinking.   Pisces is a water sign, feeling what they think and experience.   Although they can be, they’re not typically logical and rational.  The sign rules photography and  some individuals with Mercury placed in Pisces, more so than Mercury being in other zodiac signs,  have a photographic memory.  Once they acquire the information,  they never forget it.

Regardless of the sign Mercury is moving through while retrograde there’s more of a chance of the usual mishaps with more breakdowns and things going kerplunk.   This includes all kinds of equipment, motors, electrical, technological things, etc.   If need be it would be better to replace things when Mercury is no longer retrograde though unfortunately, we don’t always have those options, so make sure to get a good product warranty on whatever you are replacing.  Communications are delayed during retrograde periods and if you’re mailing things they can take longer to get there and are more likely to get lost in the mail.  So, make a copy  as you might have to send it twice.   This applies to receiving things as well, particularly, checks or money orders.   With today’s technology It’s now easier to transfer money on-line so if your computer is secure, it might be a good idea to do so. 

As I mention in each Mercury retrograde article I write unless it’s an emergency, avoid medical  and dental tests and procedures.   With Mercury moving through Pisces and Aquarius the parts of the body ruled by those signs are more sensitive.   With Pisces the feet, and Aquarius the legs from the ankle to the knee as well as the circulatory system.   Consider that your legs and feet will be happier for wearing low heeled comfortable shoes. 

Retrograde energy is internalized, and while Mercury is retrograde one is more apt to be introspective.    We’re here to learn and even the delays which are more apt to occur during a Mercury retrograde periods can teach us about organization and patience.  As mentioned, Mercury rules information and communication. This includes our thoughts, ideas and perceptions  It’s a good time to reflect and go over past, and present actions and happenings as well as future possibilities.   

The stresses and hassles in situations take more time to resolve while Mercury is in retrograde.   So, work on whatever needs to be done and work to resolve them when Mercury has gone direct.   We’re here to learn and working out present difficulties can even help us gain awareness, particularly if similar problems emerge in future situations.  So, even if things seem to be dragging on, delving in and understanding whatever is going on can help cut off or avoid it happening again.

Usually Mercury goes retrograde three times a year.   Sometimes it overlaps as it starts in one year and goes into the next.  In 2020 Mercury also will be  retrograde from June 15 to July 12 and October 13 to November 3^.   Once Mercury goes direct in motion one can buy technological equipment, take care of paperwork including contracts, have more clarity with regards to decisions, including medical ones, etc.   While Mercury is retrograde it’s more of  a time of reflection and thought, but once it is no longer retrograde it’s easier to both  communicate and get one’s ideas across.   This is even more so when Mercury comes to the point it went retrograde at, in this instance 12 degrees 53 minutes of Pisces on March 29^th.   So, it’s best during the retrograde period to be more thoughtful in what you say and what you do.  For it’s always important to think before you speak.
