Horoscope for the Week of August 12, 2024 - Retrograde Mercury in Virgo Backs into Leo

ARIES   (MARCH 21 - APRIL 20)

It may be hard to keep your focus on work when fun calls. Your challenge at this time, Aries, is to find ways to streamline your job processes so it frees you up for more imaginative opportunities. Give yourself time to pause and think things through, then you can give clearer directions and envision a job well done. Then play!

TAURUS (APRIL 21-MAY 21)

Invitations may go astray in the mail or into spam, Taurus. So if you are planning anything festive, be sure that your guests know. Also check unusual places to retrieve your invites so that you don’t miss a party, especially so for any type of family get together. Be sure that there is no miscommunication as to dates and times.

GEMINI   (MAY 22 - JUNE 21)

You have a lot on your domestic plate, Gemini. Home projects may go a bit astray or take longer than expected as directions are lost or misunderstood. But all will go well when you totally focus on what you direct. Confirm and reconfirm any detailed process and be sure everyone involved is receiving the message.

CANCER   (JUNE 22 - JULY 23)

Careful financial planning is critical now, Cancer, as you want to be sure that what you need to do is followed to the letter. Focus on how to best budget your money and how much you can really afford to invest or save. Then confer with experts. Double check all interactions to be sure your wishes start to sprout profitable goals.

LEO   (JULY 24 - AUGUST 23)

It’s a good time to check your value system, Leo. There are so many twists and turns that what seemed important yesterday may not be so valuable today. The secret to success lies in your ability to take a step back and focus on your big life picture. Where do you want to be in the near future? How can you best get there?

VIRGO   (AUGUST 24 - SEPTEMBER 23)

While you may fumble a first meeting with someone, it will be a temporary flub, Virgo. You are still a social maven, able to move through a room of strangers and attract admirers. What you need to do now is to take any of these interactions slowly, using your intuition to best assess your approach. When in doubt, hang with pals.

LIBRA   (SEPTEMBER 24 - OCTOBER 23)

Going with your gut may not be the best course of action for you now, Libra. There is so much swirling on in the background it may be hard to figure out where the truth lies. This confusion can permeate friendships but give things time to settle down and clarify. In the meantime, enjoy the light and fun camaraderie.

SCORPIO   (OCTOBER 24 - NOVEMBER 22)

There may be some confusion between your social groups’ expectations and what you want for yourself, Scorpio. These interactions can lead to distractions that take you off your preferred professional path. But don’t worry – this is a passing phase and as long as you stay focused on what you really want, you won’t stray far.

SAGITTARIUS   (NOVEMBER 23 - DECEMBER 22)

Look at the big picture, Sagittarius. But hold off on any concrete action until you have carefully assessed all of the possible scenarios. Even then, give your plans an extra vetting and time to settle. Travel may have some snags or unexpected diversions. Double check your itinerary and packed bags. But isn’t life one grand adventure?

CAPRICORN   (DECEMBER 23 - JANUARY 20)

You learn a few new things now, Capricorn, as your world seems to expand. Tuck this knowledge away for another day when you can focus on its veracity and accuracy. For now, allow yourself the time to relax and find outlets that take time away from any intense and deep introspection. It is a time of calm and meditation.

AQUARIUS   (JANUARY 21 - FEBRUARY 19)

Relationships may have some ups and downs now, Aquarius. But that is because there has been some miscommunication that has caused some snafus. Don’t bow to the intensity of feelings. Hold back. You will be able to untangle everything. Once that is done, carefully explain what happened to everyone and have a good laugh.

PISCES   (FEBRUARY 20 - MARCH 20)

Colleagues and co-workers want to help you out but you need to be very clear about what you want and need, Pisces. Sometimes we don’t communicate as effectively as we think we do. Sometimes messages are lost or misinterpreted. Understand these are the dynamics now and proceed slowly, deliberately and clearly.
