It appears that the problem of identity theft has spread to the world of animals. Here you see two photos showing cats that have successfully assumed the identity of another animal and infiltrated their circle. One cat is wearing obviously fake bunny ears and yet the others do not seem to notice he is a phony. What diabolical plot could this feline have in mind? Surely not to steal some carrots. Just as mysterious is why a cat is posing as a raccoon. Visually he blends right in, but when it comes time to dip his food into water the gig will be up.
Special note: humor aside, this is a serious issue. Identity theft is a growing problem and we should all take steps to safeguard our personal information and avoid becoming victims. The Federal Trade Commission provides this one-stop national resource to learn about the crime of identity theft with detailed information to help you deter, detect, and defend against identity theft.
