2011 - yesterday's and today's lows of 46° were the last 40° readings of the spring. this was the second earliest last 40s on record. the earliest occurred one day earlier in 1899.

Not only this was the tenth day of the past twelve to have measurable rain, but yesterday was also Islip's sixteenth consecutive day with measurable precipitation which is the NYC metro record for the most consecutive days with measurable precipitation. The streak is still going on, with today being the seventeenth such day.

on this date in 2020, the level of relative humidity bottomed out at 16% at 6PM. when was the last time the humidity was this low or lower in the month of May?

Rob

Back in 2007 the humidity dropped to 16% on May 3 (at 4PM) and again on May 13 (at 1 PM).
