During these days temperatures were nine degrees milder than average. A cold front moving through during the afternoon triggered storms that dumped nearly an inch-and-a-half of rain, with an inch of it falling in a two-hour period ending at 7:30 PM.
2010
1.13" of rain fell today, the fourth time in the past nine years that more than an inch of rain fell on this date. It was mostly an evening rainfall, with 0.77" falling between 7:00 and 8:00. The day's high of 75° was the mildest reading of the month (reached again on 10/27).
2017
This was the seventh day in a row with a mean temperature ten degrees or more above average, the longest such streak in October since 2007, when there were two seven-day streaks. (Since 1980, only one October has had a longer streak - 10 days in October 1990). During these seven days the average high/low was 80°/67°, which was 14 degrees above average. Today, with a high/low of 77°/60°, was the "coolest" of the seven days.
2018 - with a low of 69°, this was the one hundred second day this year with a low of 65° or warmer (57 of them were consecutive), tying 2015 as the most such lows in a year on record. additionally, this was the fifth latest date on record for a low temp this warm. lastly, the first eleven days of the month all had lows of 60° or warmer, a first for October, besting the previous October record from 1900 by three days.
