Clipart_thanksgiving_turkey Highlights:  Nor'easter on Thanksgiving Day 1971 grounds balloons at the Macy's parade; huge rainstorms flooded the tri-state area in 1972 and 1977; AM low of 17° on Nov. 30, 1976 is the coldest reading in November since 1938; 80° on Nov. 15, 1993; Veteran's Day snowstorm of 1987; AM low of 18° on Nov. 21, 1987; Thanksgiving Day snowstorm of 1989; early snowstorm of Nov. 7-8, 2012 covered NYC with 4.3" of snow less than two weeks after Sandy; November 2015 became mildest on record, edging out Nov. 2001 by 0.1 degree; Surprise afternoon/evening snowstorm on Nov. 15, 2018 dumped 6.4".
