Hi Rob. Just wanted to let you know I really enjoyed this "behind the scenes" look at the various inquiries you've received over the years. Interesting about the person who asked about "ideal weather" locations. My own "ideal weather day" would be bright clear skies, low humidity, highs in the Low/mid 70's, lows in the low/mid 50's. Many years ago, with the help of the NY Daily News Weather Almanac I looked into when that weather was most likely to occur in NY City, and it was early/mid May and early/mid October. More by luck and coincidence rather than planning, the weather on my wedding day, May 3, 1981, was "perfect" by my standards. Sunny, high 71, low 50.

BTW, the Federal Links are down at the moment, due to the shutdown.

Thanks Ken, and Happy New Year! What a trip down memory lane preparing this post was. It's curious about the one link being shut down. Fortunately , the site I refer to the most, weather.gov, hasn't been affected - at least not yer (I believe it may qualify as "essential").
